*RE: APPRECIATION TO THE FEDERAL AND OYO STATE GOVERNMENTS ON THE SAFE RESCUE OF THE ABDUCTED PUPILS AND TEACHERS IN ORIRE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA*

*The Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS), Oyo State Chapter, heartily rejoices with the families, schools, and the entire people of Oyo State over the safe rescue of the pupils and teachers who were abducted in Orire Local Government Area and endured fifty-six (56) days in captivity.*

*We express our profound appreciation to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, and all officers and personnel of the military, police, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and every other security and intelligence agency whose commitment, professionalism, and sacrifices contributed to the successful rescue of the victims.*

*This development has brought immense relief and renewed hope to the educational community and the nation at large.*

*We pray that Almighty ALLOHU (SWT) reward all those who participated in this noble effort and grants the rescued pupils, teachers, and their families complete healing, comfort, and peace.*

*We also fervently pray that ALLOHU (SWT) protects our schools, communities, and the entire nation from every form of insecurity and that incidents of kidnapping and abduction will never recur in our land*

*Furthermore, we wish to inform all AMIS members across Oyo State that the Association will soon issue an official public statement through the media to further express our gratitude, joy, and appreciation over this remarkable development.*

*Members are encouraged to continue praying for lasting peace, security, and the progress of education in our dear state and country.*

*RESOLUTION OF THE COALITION OF NON-STATE SCHOOLS OF OYO STATE(CONSSOS)*

*Following the recent incidents of kidnapping at Yawota and Esiele in Ogbomosho, and in consideration of the safety and security of our pupils, students, staff, and school communities, the Coalition of Private Schools in Oyo State hereby met and resolved as follows:*

1.*All private schools across Oyo State shall be closed on Friday, 5th June, 2026 alone in solidarity with calls for the prompt release of our kidnapped pupils and teachers.*

2.*A special Prayer Session shall be organized by all private schools across the state on the same day, seeking divine intervention, protection, peace, and security for our communities, schools, and the nation at large.*

3.*Parents, guardians, school proprietors, teachers, and students are encouraged to participate in the prayer programme as directed by their respective schools.*

4.*The Coalition strongly condemns all forms of criminal activities and calls on the relevant security agencies to intensify efforts toward safeguarding lives and property within our communities.*

*We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders as we collectively seek lasting peace and security in Oyo State.*

AMIS OYO STATE STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH ABDUCTED SCHOOL COMMUNITY IN ORIRE LGA

As-Salaamu Alaykum wa RahmatuLOOHI wa Barokatuhu,

The Association of Model Islamic Schools, Oyo State Chapter, expresses deep concern and heartfelt solidarity with the families, colleagues, and school community of the Teachers, Students, and Principal abducted in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State. This painful situation has now persisted for three weeks.

We stand firmly with the relatives of the abducted persons during this period of trial.

May ALLOHU سبحانه وتعالى grant them patience, strength, and good tidings. We pray fervently for the safe and swift return of all victims, unharmed, to their families and to our schools.

We also beseech ALLOHU, the Restorer of Peace, to restore peace and security to our land, to Oyo State, and to Nigeria at large. May He protect our schools, our learners, and all citizens from every form of evil.

In light of this, AMIS enjoins all members, proprietors, teachers, and staff across the state to:

1.Continue to proceed to their places of work peacefully for the sake of students who are undergoing and those who are preparing for external examinations across the country

2. Remain calm and composed in the discharge of their duties.

3. Keep the abducted persons and their families in constant prayer.

4. Remain security conscious and adhere to all safety advisories from authorities.

We trust in ALLOHU’s mercy and in the efforts of security agencies to bring this ordeal to a peaceful end.
