UPDATE: Hajj 2026. 17-5-2026

A special gift was presented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah under Mu’assasah Sana to the Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Board, Shaikh Hasim Atere Olamide, in recognition of his contribution, cooperation, commitment, and strong relationship with the organization.

The presentation of the gift reflects the appreciation for his continuous support, leadership, and dedication towards the successful coordination of Hajj activities for Oyo State pilgrims.

The gift was truly wonderful and highly appreciated, symbolizing friendship, unity, and mutual respect between the Ministry, Mu’assasah Sana, and the Oyo State Pilgrims Board.

UPDATE: Hajj 2026 17-5-2026

An official meeting was held among all representatives from Nigeria with the Mu’assasah and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Makkah to discuss preparations for Hajj operations.

The meeting focused on proper arrangements for pilgrims, transportation plans, accommodation, safety measures, and coordination for moving pilgrims from Makkah to Mina, Arafah, and Muzdalifah during the Hajj period.

Important discussions were also made on how to ensure smooth movement, comfort, security, medical support, and effective guidance for all pilgrims throughout the Hajj rites.

Among the pertinent from Oyo are: Charman Of State Shaik Hasim Atere, secretary to the board pilgrim and Dr ibrahim Ballo Alli Adelani

We pray that Allah makes every aspect of this year’s Hajj easy for all of us, protects all pilgrims, grants success to the officials and organizers, and accepts our Hajj and Ibadah. Ameen.

UPDATE: Hajj 2026. 17-5-2026

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah explained the new technological developments to Dr. Ibrahim Ballo Adelani, one of the representatives of Oyo State Pilgrims.

The newly introduced location scanning system will automatically display the pilgrim’s hotel location and help identify directions from Mina, Arafah, and Muzdalifah whenever any pilgrim gets lost during Hajj operations.

This modern technology is a great development and an important opportunity to improve the safety, guidance, and movement of pilgrims during Hajj 2026.

Alhamdulillah, this advancement will greatly assist officials and pilgrims, reduce difficulties, and ensure better coordination throughout the Hajj exercise.

The Chairman selected the following individuals to lead special prayers:

1. Hajj Ojolowo — to pray for Nigeria
2. Hajj Alhikmat from Oyo — to pray for Oyo State
3. Hajj Olokuta — to pray for all Oyo State pilgrims
4. Shaikh Shikah Yahyah Oluko Agba — opened the prayer session and prayed for all of us
5. The Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Board concluded the special Doa with Khutbah.

May Allah accept all the prayers. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah, this spiritual program continues to strengthen and prepare our pilgrims before the main Hajj rites. We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts all our prayers, protects every pilgrim, makes this year’s Hajj easy, and grants everyone Hajj Mabrur. Ameen.

UPDATE: Hajj 2026

This is another proud moment for Oyo State pilgrims. For the third time, lost belongings have been found and safely returned to their owners.

Today, honesty was once again displayed as Alhaji Dauda Faeez Abimbara of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board presented the sum of Four Hundred US Dollars and Eighty Saudi Riyals, which were lost by a pilgrim from the Federal Capital Territory, Usman Abubakar, back to him on Saturday, 16th May 2026 in Makkah.

Alhamdulillah, this act of honesty and integrity continues to make Oyo State pilgrims proud. May Allah reward all those involved and continue to protect the pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey. Ameen.
