SUPPORTING MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND EDUCATION FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: Empowering Young Minds!
As we strive for a world where everyone has equal opportunities, let's not forget the silent struggles of millions of young girls. Menstruation, a natural part of women’s life, becomes a debilitating obstacle for many due to lack of access to sanitary products and proper education.
•1 in 10 girls in the country miss school due to menstrual-related issues.
•7 out of 10 girls use makeshift materials, increasing the risk of infections and health complications.
- Limited knowledge about menstrual hygiene can leads to stigma, shame, and low self-esteem and this could be as a result of societal/parental/guardian lack of knowledge.
Our Mission aim to bridge this gap by providing:
1. Sanitary pads to secondary school students, ensuring they get a first hand dignity and confidence.
2. Comprehensive lectures on menstrual hygiene, breaking stigmas and empowering knowledge.
