Remember when we said your kitchen waste could be a goldmine?

Here’s how. 👇🏽

At CEID Hub, we are turning food waste into value using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology.

Instead of ending up in landfills, organic waste is fed to BSF larvae; which naturally convert it into:

-High-protein feed for poultry and fish
-Organic fertilizer for healthier soils

What does this mean?
✔️ Less waste in our environment
✔️ Lower greenhouse gas emissions
✔️ New opportunities from waste

This is what a circular economy looks like in action: where waste is not wasted, but transformed into opportunity.

And the best part?
This is a model that can be replicated in homes, farms, and businesses.

Your kitchen waste is not just waste.
It’s a resource. ♻️

Follow our journey as we continue to explore sustainable solutions that create real impact.

From the hills of Oyo State in South-West Nigeria to the golden sun of Kano in the North-West - driving climate action, innovation, and impact.

In April, the CEID Hub team led by Mr Sope Afolayan journeyed to Kano on the kind invitation of the KIRCT-Climate Resilience Action Group (CRAG) team and what unfolded was more than a visit. It was alignment, shared vision, and bold steps toward collaboration.

We began with a tour of the Kano Independent Research Centre Trust (KIRCT), engaging with the management team and deepening conversations around climate resilience, health, and community impact, guided by insights from Dr. Basheer Waziri, the team lead KIRCT-CRAG.

At the Centre for Biotechnology Research (CBR), Bayero University Kano, we held a strategic meeting with the Director Professor Anas Ibrahim Yahaya and team, exploring critical areas of collaboration, from intelligent waste management and Black Soldier Fly technology to clean energy, research, and policy development.

A major highlight of the visit was our meeting with the Director General of KIRCT, Professor Hamisu Mohammed Salihu (MD Ph.D) culminating in the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU): a significant step toward long-term collaboration and scalable impact.

Beyond the meetings, we also experienced Kano: Its rich history, culture, and people, with a memorable visit to the Kano Museum.

And perhaps the most meaningful part of this journey is: what began as a conversation at Climate Action Week 2026 in the Maldives has now evolved into a formal partnership and shared commitment to impact.

🌍 Our Power. Our Planet.

This Earth Day, we are reminded that the future of our planet depends on the actions we take today.

At Climate Emerge Innovation Development Hub, we believe that real change comes from building practical solutions:

🌱 Sustainable agriculture
⚡ Renewable energy innovation
♻️ Intelligent waste management

Powered by young people, driven by purpose, and rooted in circular economy principles, we are creating systems that work for both people and the planet.

⚡ Our power is in what we build.
🌍 Our planet is worth protecting.

What if your kitchen waste is more valuable than you think?

Every day, food waste leaves our homes and ends up in landfills:
releasing methane, a greenhouse gas over 25x more potent than CO₂.

But what if that same “waste”…
could create value instead?

What if the things we throw away daily…
are actually hidden opportunities?

At CEID Hub, we’re exploring a smarter, circular way to turn waste into value, where nothing is wasted, and everything works.

Happy New Month!

April is here and with it comes the rains, a season of growth, renewal, and new possibilities.

As farmers prepare their soil and plant for the season, we are reminded of the importance of sustainable agriculture in building resilient communities and securing our future.

At Climate Emerge Innovation Development Hub, we are committed to growing solutions - from our vegetable gardens to initiatives like Garden in a Box Africa - empowering people to grow food sustainably, wherever they are.

🌧️ This April, we are Growing Possibilities.

Celebrating Global Recycling Day 2026
Don’t think waste, think opportunity!

And at Climate Emerge Innovation Development Hub (CEID Hub), that’s not just a slogan, it’s how we work.

Here in Nigeria, we are turning waste into real, practical solutions:

Old batteries → Battery packs → Energy storage systems
Food waste → Protein-rich feed (via Black Soldier Fly bioconversion)
Organic waste → Compost for healthier soils
Food waste → Soil amendments (frass)
Cow dung & food waste → Biogas for clean cooking

We are building circular systems where nothing is wasted, only transformed.

Every food scrap, every organic by-product, every discarded resource is a raw material waiting for a second life.

That’s circular economy thinking.
That’s sustainability in practice.
That’s innovation rooted in purpose.

This Global Recycling Day, we are proud to be part of a growing movement that sees waste not as the end but as the beginning.

Let’s rethink waste.
Let’s build solutions.
