🌸 A Tailor-Made Miracle of Hope 🌸

At the Hope Soars Foundation for Widows, we believe that empowering a widow empowers a generation. Today, we are overjoyed to share a story of transformation and divine provision.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Mrs. Monisola Oni, Founder of JMA Scholarship for Widows, we successfully presented brand new sewing machines to two amazing young people—the children of widows in our community.

To these children, this is more than just a machine; it is a key to a future filled with possibilities. To their mothers, it is the peace of mind that comes with knowing their children have a tangible skill to stand on, great relief to them - they can now watch their children step into purpose with dignity.

It represents empowerment to the beneficiaries. Being a widow’s child often comes with the weight of uncertainty. The weight is being lifted as they receive the tools to break the cycle of lack and become employers of labour rather than job seekers. This is the beginning of sustainability. With this sewing machine, they can start to generate income, and support the family unit, restoring the hope that was lost.

We are so grateful for Mrs. Monisola Oni, whose heart mirrors the very essence of compassion. Your sponsorship is not just a donation; it is an investment in the stability of these families. Thank You Lord for giving her a heart that sees the unseen. A Heartfelt Thank You to Etteh Aro & Partners Infrastructural Development Company 💙

Today was an incredibly special day at Hope Soars Foundation for Widows, as we were honoured to receive a generous visit from the team - Etteh Aro & Partners Infrastructural Development Company in celebration of this year’s AROKODARE DAY.

In a beautiful display of love and generosity, the company blessed 25 of our widows with essential foodstuffs and a sum of ₦150,000 to support their transportation needs. The joy and gratitude on the faces of our women were truly priceless, and we are so grateful they were chosen as this year’s beneficiaries.

For those who may not know, AROKODARE DAY is a posthumous birthday celebration in honor of the late Engr. Lawrence Oluwemimo Arokodare, born on March 15, 1938. Known for his simplicity, generosity, and down-to-earth nature, Engr. Arokodare was a man who led with humility—often showing up to work in his knickers, a legacy his staff proudly keeps alive by emulating his unique style on this special day.

Since 2008, his memory has been honoured through acts of kindness, with the team reaching out to support various organizations and individuals. This year, we were moved to see that love extended to the widows of Hope Soars Foundation.

We are deeply thankful to the entire team at Etteh Aro & Partners for remembering our widows and for keeping the spirit of giving alive. May the soul of Engr. Lawrence Oluwemimo Arokodare continues to rest in perfect peace. May the Lord bless and expand the company, and may His favour rest upon the family, partners and everyone continuing his legacy.
