A Day of Remembrance and Restoration
On this International Widows Day, June 23rd, 2026, Hope Soars Foundation For Widows stands in gratitude and celebration as we reflect on the transformative impact of our 2026 Widows Outreach Program. This day, recognized globally by the United Nations, calls attention to the plight of widows worldwide and affirms their rights to dignity, support, and empowerment.
For us at Hope Soars Foundation, this year's commemoration holds special significance as we witness the completion of a vision that has touched the lives of over 200 widows and their children - a vision made possible through the extraordinary generosity of Mrs. Monisola Oni of JMA Scholarship.
Today, we pause to honour a woman whose compassion has become a lifeline for many. Mrs. Monisola Oni, through JMA Scholarship, has demonstrated that true philanthropy is not merely about giving but about seeing—seeing the struggles, the silent tears, the unspoken hopes of widows who carry the weight of loss while striving to provide for their families.
Mrs. Oni's sponsorship of our 2026 outreach has transformed our vision into reality. Her belief in our mission and her willingness to invest in the lives of widows have created ripples of change that will echo for generations. By the Numbers: Lives Transformed Through Your Generosity
Medical Outreach (May, 30th 2026).
246 people both widows and people living in Fabode Village under Akinyele Local Government received comprehensive medical screening and treatment in Ibadan.
Economic Empowerment
· 20 widows trained and equipped in cleaning agents production (liquid soap, toilet wash, bleach, germicide, and hair cream)
· 2 widows' children received sewing machines—tools for vocational independence
· 1 widow in Kaduna received business revival support of 100,000.00 (one hundred thousand naira) to restart her enterprise.
