"When Politics Pays Your Bills, Truth Becomes Your Enemy” — AY Speaks On Insecurity Silence.

AY Makun has raised concerns about Nigeria’s worsening insecurity situation, while also addressing what he describes as the silence of some public figures on national issues.

The comedian argued that financial and political connections often influence who speaks up and who remains quiet when critical issues affect the country.

According to him, when individuals depend on political relationships for income or survival, speaking the truth becomes difficult because it may come with consequences.

He linked his comments to the broader insecurity challenges in Nigeria, where kidnappings and violent attacks continue to dominate public discourse and spark emotional reactions across social media.

⚡ AY’s remarks have triggered debate online, with some agreeing that political influence affects public commentary, while others insist that celebrities should be careful when discussing sensitive national issues.

The Traditional Chiefs Supporting the Reign of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja in Ibadanland

His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I, is the current Olubadan of Ibadanland. The revered monarch ascended the throne in September 2025 as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland following the passing of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who reigned for one year.

Oba Ladoja emerged from the Olubadan (Civil) Line after successfully climbing the traditional ladder of succession. The Olubadan traditional system is divided into two lines: the Otun (Civil) Line and the Balogun (Military) Line. While the Civil Line consists of 22 hierarchical steps to the throne, the Military Line comprises 23 steps.

Ibadanland is widely acknowledged for operating one of the most orderly, transparent, and peaceful traditional succession systems in Nigeria and across Africa. However, beyond the Olubadan himself, there are highly respected chiefs who assist in the traditional administration and cultural leadership of the ancient city.

These distinguished personalities constitute the Olubadan-in-Council, the apex traditional advisory body in Ibadanland. Today, as we celebrate Children’s Day, my heart is heavy over the abducted students and teachers in Oriire Local Government of Oyo State.

Children’s Day without these innocent children is like dancing in a burning bush. While others celebrate, many families are still in pain, fear, and uncertainty.

I call on the Government and security agencies to act swiftly and strengthen security measures across our schools and communities. Our children deserve safety, quality education, and a peaceful future.

To every Nigerian child, you are the future heroes of our nation. We will continue to speak for your protection and brighter tomorrow.

Oba Ladoja Installs 14 Mogajis, 7 Baales, Charges Them on Development of Ibadanland

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Monday installed fourteen Mogajis and seven Baales, charging them to be worthy ambassadors committed to the unity, peace, security and development of Ibadanland.

The installation ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of the Olubadan Palace.

In a statement issued shortly after the ceremony, the monarch, represented by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, stated that the era where traditional titles were symbols of affluence without responsibility had passed, stressing that traditional title holders must now work diligently for the progress and development of Ibadanland.

The paramount ruler emphasized that one of the core responsibilities of traditional rulers is ensuring the security of lives and property within their domains and across Ibadanland.

Oba Ladoja also expressed concern over the increasing rate of kidnapping, killings, and other criminal activities, calling on governments at all levels, security agencies, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders to intensify efforts toward combating insecurity.

He further appealed to the Oyo State Government and Local Government Councils to properly profile foreigners residing in the state and ensure that individuals with questionable character are either prosecuted or returned to their states of origin in accordance with the law.

If we are to judge by formal education, I think I should be opening gates for people like Actor Femi Adebayo and Actor Odunlade Adekola and the rest because I didn't go to any school infact l don't even have O-level

So I am always annoyed when people say I am underrated, I think I don't even deserve all what l have got today, it's the Grace of God that I am enjoying and I am not taking it for granted

I have so many Employees that are graduates, Professors using my work, so why should I be tagged as underrated? Though I know it's the love some of my fans have towards me that makes them say so much.
