The Climate Youth Actors Meetup in Abuja was more than an event. It was a space where young people shared ideas, challenged perspectives, built meaningful connections, and discovered that climate action is not reserved for a few. It belongs to all of us.

Every conversation carried hope. Every smile reflected a shared commitment. Every interaction reminded us that real change begins when young people choose to lead, collaborate, and act.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for lending your voice to a cause greater than ourselves. The conversations may have ended, but the work continues.

Together, we are not just talking about the future. We are shaping it. 🌍💚

Sometimes, talent alone is not enough. What truly makes the difference is access to the right opportunities.

We were delighted to host one of our Lake Chad Climate Justice Youth Fellows, Iliya Muhammad Makinta from Borno State, Nigeria, who shared how the fellowship has opened doors that once seemed out of reach. From new networks to leadership opportunities and greater visibility for his work, his journey is a powerful reminder that when young people are equipped and supported, their potential shines.

Talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. By creating spaces for learning, collaboration, and action, we help ensure that young people are not only seen but empowered to lead meaningful change in their communities.

The Lake Chad Climate Justice Youth Fellowship continues to nurture a new generation of climate leaders whose voices, ideas, and actions are shaping a more just and resilient future for the region.
