​The rains have ceased, and the wells have run dry. Our efforts to reach groundwater have been met with an immovable challenge: the soil here is solid rock, stretching thousands of feet deep. There is simply no water to be found. ​

This crisis has forced families into a heartbreaking choice—cutting back on their daily meals just to afford the high cost of purchasing water.
