SHRI Organization made referrals of affected families who have now received much needed assistance.

This recognition reflects our continued commitment to serving Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable communities across Zamfara State especially throughout 2025. We are grateful that our humanitarian efforts have been acknowledged and that our work continues to bring hope and relief to families in need.

World Mental Health Day 2025.

Today,SHRI joined Heritage Health Foundation and Première Urgence Internationale Nigeria and other partners to mark World Mental Health Day with the theme “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right.”

The event organized by RHHF within the community brought together different organizations,community members to raise awareness about mental health,promote access to services and challenge stigma.

At SHRI,we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. We remain committed to working with communities and partners to support accessible,inclusive mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for all.
Let’s keep pushing for a world where mental well-being is a right not a privilege.

We’re excited to announce that under our Back to School initiative,SHRI has successfully enrolled 275 out-of-school children into both primary and secondary schools!
This is more than just getting children back in classrooms,it’s about restoring hope,renewing dreams and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
To support their return to school,we also provided essential learning materials to help them start this new chapter with confidence and dignity.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in making this possible from our dedicated team to our partners and community supporters. Your efforts are changing lives and opening doors to new possibilities.

Today our team together with key partners conducted a Joint GBV Safety Audit Assessment to identify and address safety concerns affecting women and girls in our community.

Through this collaborative effort,we’re working to:
1. Identify risks in public spaces and services
2. Listen to the voices of women and girls
3. Strengthen community-based protection systems
4. Promote safer,more inclusive environments for all

This is more than an assessment,it's a commitment to action.

World Humanitarian Day 2025!
Shelter of Hope Resilience Initiative (SHRI) joined the global community to mark World Humanitarian Day,standing in solidarity with all humanitarian workers who dedicate their lives to saving and improving others.
As part of the commemoration,we held a tree planting exercise a symbol of hope,resilience and sustainability for future generations. This initiative reflects our commitment not only to humanitarian response but also to climate action and environmental protection within our communities.
On this day,we honor the courage and sacrifice of humanitarians everywhere and reaffirm our mission to bring relief,dignity and resilience to those most in need. Together,we can build a safer,greener and more compassionate world.

As part of our WASH program,our team successfully carried out the monthly community sanitation exercise aimed at promoting hygiene and safeguarding public health.
This month’s activity was also intensified to raise awareness and strengthen campaigns against cholera ensuring that families and communities remain safe from preventable waterborne diseases.
