Today, June 12, 2026, marks 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in our dear nation — a hard-won victory sealed by the courage, sacrifices, and resilience of millions of Nigerians who refused to accept anything less than freedom and the right to choose their leaders.We remember the heroes of June 12, 1993 — especially the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola and all pro-democracy activists who fought tirelessly so that today we can proudly celebrate Democracy Day as a public holiday. Their struggle gave birth to the democratic journey we continue today.At the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), we believe true democracy goes beyond elections. It means:Active youth participation in nation-building
Peaceful coexistence across communities
Accountability, transparency, and good governance

IBBN Gombe State Chapter Scores Big in Kwami! What an incredible display of talent, unity, and community spirit! On February 12th, 2026, the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) Gombe State Chapter hosted a thrilling novelty football match at Kwami Government Junior Secondary School, Kwami LGA.The showdown between Kafarati Football Club and Kwami United Football Club was packed with excitement, discipline, and true sportsmanship. After a fiercely contested battle, Kafarati FC emerged victorious with a final score of 3-2! The atmosphere was electric with passionate fans from both communities cheering side by side – proof that sports truly brings people together.In line with IBBN’s mission to empower youth and promote peaceful coexistence, we proudly presented both teams with special gifts: Kites (bees)

On January 31st, 2026, the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) lit up the pitch with an inspiring novelty football match at Shongo Idirisa Government Day Secondary School Football Field! The exciting clash between Amada Football Club and Shongo Idirisa Football Club delivered thrilling action in a spirit of true sportsmanship and community unity. Final score: Amada FC 1 – 0 Shongo Idirisa FC! This wasn't just about the game — it was about bringing our youth together, promoting peace, mutual understanding, and positive engagement through sports to steer them away from social vices and towards discipline, teamwork, and talent growth. True to IBBN's commitment to grassroots empowerment, we proudly supported both teams with essential training equipment:2 sets of training kits per team
