CELEBRATION A CHAMPION FOR GOMBE’S WOMEN FARMERS! 🌾
Yesterday, 25th June 2026, was a truly special and emotional day for all of us at the National Association of Women in Agriculture (NAWIA), Gombe State Chapter. We had the privilege of visiting the Gombe ACReSAL office to present an Award of Excellence to a leader who genuinely cares about our women: Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro.
For us at NAWIA, this award wasn't just a plaque—it was our way of saying a massive "Thank You" from the bottom of our hearts. Our women have felt the real impact of ACReSAL's work. Through their support, our members have received drought‑tolerant seeds, energy‑efficient cookstoves, and life‑changing farming advice that has helped us feed our families and grow our farms in these challenging climate conditions.
What touched us the most during our visit was Dr. Sani's incredible humility. Instead of taking all the credit, he chose to lift others up. He reminded us that good work is only possible through teamwork, mutual respect, and pure intentions. He spoke beautifully about how leaders and subordinates should respect one another, working hand‑in‑hand within the rules to bring progress to our people.
Dr. Sani shared that his biggest prayer and vision are simply to see our community progress, and he prayed that these efforts bring blessings both in this world and the hereafter. He called on good, honest, and sincere people to join hands in truth and accountability to support this great mission. He warmly dedicated the honour to our visionary Governor, His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the World Bank, the National ACReSAL team, and his entire hard‑working staff.
The love, appreciation, and respect the ACReSAL team showed NAWIA yesterday filled our hearts with joy. We left his office feeling inspired and more motivated than ever.
To Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro and the entire ACReSAL family, thank you for believing in the power of women in agriculture. We are so proud to walk this journey with you!
With love and gratitude,
Hajiya Amina Muhammad Umar
State Coordinator, NAWIA Gombe State Chapter.
