Civic participation goes beyond casting your vote.

It is about staying informed, speaking up on issues that affect your community, joining meaningful conversations, volunteering, attending town halls, engaging decision-makers, and contributing to solutions.

Your voice matters—but participation is how you use it.

Start where you are. Ask questions. Stay informed. Get involved.

What is one way you currently participate in your community?

World Humanitarian Day | August 19

Humanity begins when we choose to care — and act.

Today, we honour humanitarian workers, volunteers, and everyday people who continue to stand with communities in times of crisis and need.

At ACCESS Initiative Africa, we believe that creating a better society requires more than compassion. It requires action, solidarity, and a commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind.

May we continue to choose humanity, not just today, but every day.

At ACCESS Initiative Africa, we marked International Youth Day with an engaging hangout that brought young men and women together for honest, thought-provoking conversations about leadership, politics, entrepreneurship, and the future of young people.

From debating “Should Nigerian youth prioritise entrepreneurship over politics?” to a powerful roundtable on “Are youths less corrupt, or are they simply not yet in politics?”, and a deeply engaging conversation on “Why are there fewer young women in leadership positions than men?” - our young people spoke, challenged ideas, listened, and contributed.
It was more than a hangout.

It was a space for reflection, healthy disagreement, learning, and collective thinking about the kind of future we want to build.
When young people have the space to speak, they don't just discuss the future - they begin to shape it.

Happy International Youth Day! 💙

Congratulations to FOCEI Foundation For Community Empowerment

This is a good news to the youths of Gombe State. At Access, we are proud to be a part of this giant stride; from attending the workshop on domesticating the policy, to all the advocacy meetings at the state ministry of budget coordination and planning.

We proudly appreciate the State Government, under the able leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe), CON, for the historic signing and adoption of the Gombe State Youth Policy during the 55th State Executive Council Meeting.

This is more than a policy it is a promise of opportunity, inclusion and a stronger future for our young people.

We commend this bold step and look forward to its full and effective implementation.
When we invest in young people, we invest in the future of Gombe State. Together, we can build a generation empowered to lead, innovate and transform our communities.

Eid Mubarak 🌙

Today is about more than celebration — it’s about people.

The families we gather with,
the friendships we cherish,
and the communities we continue to build together.

May this Eid remind us to show up for one another with kindness, generosity, and compassion — not just today, but always.

From all of us at Access Initiative Africa, we wish you peace, joy, and meaningful moments with your loved ones.
