ARC-P Gombe gets more collaborating partners,as Gombe states First Lady presides over PAC meeting,
.establishing temporary community hubs takes center stage,
.board resolves to ensure synergy for optimal result.
The wife of Gombe State governor, Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya ,as the chairman of ARC- P advisory committee, has presided over the PAC meeting that seeks to review and update members and stakeholders especially the new partners,on activities carried out so far and the project’s next line of action.
Just as she commended motherhen Foundation for collaborating with ARC-P to commemorate the International Day of Education as mandated in the previous resolutions early this year, the PAC chairman Dr. Asma’u Yahaya and the committee members as a board , directed the project implementation team to collaborate with Gombe state primary healthcare development agency,SUBEB , NDLEA ,Gombe local education authority,plus the ministry of science,technology and innovation to ensure synergy for optimal win of the project in the state , which is one of the reasons for their engagement in the meeting.
The special adviser to the governor on human capital development and At Risk Children Project Lead, Barrister Sani Ahmed Haruna, gave an update on the resolutions taken from the last PAC meeting, explaining some of the activities carried out to include, training, recruitment and employment of 1000 youth facilitators and GOSTEC (500 each) drawn from the 11 local government areas .
These Barr. Sani added ,is in addition to the establishment of 5 community hubs at tsangaya islamiya schools and orphanage home, out of the 25 hubs to be opened in due course, for the youth facilitators to step down the knowledge and skills acquired on the young and vulnerable children, for reshaping and better reorientation.
Members of PAC and the project implementation team , Erisa Danladi, Abdulwahab Sabo and Aliyu Ahmed, separately updated the gathering on ARC-P commemoration of the international day of education by the First Lady, successes, challenges and lessons learnt from previous activities and the next step of the project implementation which intends to focus on the establishment of temporary community hubs, targeting another sets of orphanage and tsangaya schools,from the 3 senatorial districts, namely; Gombe, Deba and Nafada respectively.
From the other side of the coin, the collaborating partners such as NDLEA , Primary Healthcare Development Agency , Gombe Local Education Authority and ministry of science,innovation and technology , priority will be on early sensitization on the dangers of drug abuse,tackling acute/severe acute and complicated cases of malnutrition ,drastic reduction in mortality and morbidity rate due to preventable diseases as well as increase in skills acquisition training.

At the end, the PAC chairman and Gombe State First Lady,Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya reiterated one of the board’s resolutions , that all forms relating to activities of the At-Risk Children Project in Gombe State is FREE!
