The Foundation for Community Development Initiatives (FCDI) participated in the State Level Cadre Harmonisé (CH) Analysis convened by the State Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Livestock and Aquaculture Development held from the 20th to 26th October 2025. The Cadre Harmonisé exercise is a regional framework used across West Africa to analyze acute food and nutrition insecurity situations, providing evidence-based information for decision-making, humanitarian response planning, and early warning.
FCDI actively participated as a member of the Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) sector, contributing to data validation, situation analysis, and interpretation of key indicators including:
• Household food consumption score (FCS)
• Household hunger scale (HHS)
• Reduced coping strategy index (rCSI)
• Livelihood changes and income sources
• Market functionality and access
FCDI’s participation focused on representing community-level perspectives, especially from vulnerable groups within intervention LGAs, and ensuring that the analysis reflected local realities and field-based evidence.

🌾 Celebrating Rural Women & Food Heroes! 👩🏾‍🌾🍲
FCDI proudly joined NURU Nigeria for a two-day summit commemorating the International Day of Rural Women and World Food Day 2025 at AUN Academy Community Hall, Yola.
The summit highlighted the vital role of women in agriculture, food security, and community resilience, bringing together farmers, policymakers, and development partners to inspire action for a hunger-free future.

The Foundation for Community Development Initiatives (FCDI), in partnership with the Window on America, Yola, kicked off its “End GBV Initiative” with a one-day roundtable discussion held at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola.
The initiative seeks to restore self-reliance, respect, and resilience among women through dialogue, economic empowerment, access to justice, and community advocacy.

FCDI is committed to playing a key role ending all forms Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria and Africa, and ensuring that all women live their lives with dignity.
