Marriage is a lifelong commitment between individuals built on love, trust, and mutual support, creating a partnership for life's journey. It's about forming a team that navigates joy and adversity together, fostering companionship, emotional stability, and shared responsibility, often including raising a family.
Its key aspects include:
- Building a life with shared vision and purpose
- Sacrificial commitment over personal happiness
- Mature love that endures challenges
- Teamwork, not dictatorship or selfish pursuits.
Marriage is not a pursuit of personal gain. It's about enduring through tough times with mature love, not just romance or fulfilling desires. It's not about control or winning arguments, but compromise and stability.
As for this lady at our focus, her situation seems to be the reverse of all that marriage stands for. She is a survivor of continuous domestic violence.
In her recent situation, she reported her persecutions to her kinsmen who were so careful not to take the laws into their hands. Her case was allegedly reported to an appropriate governmental Agency but she was told to sponsor the logistics and thereafter seek the where about of her Oppressor possibly to pave way for arrest and further actions.
Our question is:
√How can the helpless woman fund the required logistics?
√ How can she be searching for her Oppressor when she suppose to be in a hospital bed receiving medical attention?
OVER TWO WEEKS AFTER HER INCIDENT, SHE IS STILL SEEKING FOR SEEMINGLY UNAVAILABLE JUSTICE.
The significant challenges faced by most victims of domestic violence in our immediate domain include accessing justice, lack of support, financial barriers, and other bureaucratic hurdles.
THAT'S WHY WE HAVE KEPT ON SHOUTING UNTIL SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE HEARS THE CRIES OF THIS ONE.
