But few people realize that Gender Based Violence can also have hidden effects on women’s health including their eyesight.

As the world marks World Glaucoma Week, this week on Ogbakọ Ụmụada we are discussing:

“Protecting Women’s Sight: Glaucoma Awareness and the Hidden Impact of Gender-Based Violence.”

We will be exploring:
1. What glaucoma really is.
2. Why early eye checks are important.
3. How violence and neglect can affect women’s health.
4. What we can do to prevent avoidable blindness.
