DAILY REFLECTION: Ecclesiastes 7:1a
ANCHOR VERSE: "A good name is better than fine perfume."

Some people changed their character because of an urgly experience in the past. Don't be the reason why people will change for the worst or begin to see the worst in others. What you have succeeded in doing is closing the door for others coming behind, causing them not to get necessary help and attention. The road you ply today could be plied by someone else tomorrow. So don't end a good road with a bad character; as your children, friends, acquintance etc will still use that same road. Whether or not they will be blessed depends on how you acted in the time past. A good road is plied a second time: but some people are the cause why their sisters are not married, because your character will make the community where you are married, to come for a second or third missionary journey back to your place or family to take another wife. Because of you, good can come to your loved ones. When you have this mindset, you will start living right. From the analogy above, you now see how far character can delay a generation or a people. How it can set one's clock backwards. It is therefore, very important that we exhibit good and quality character as we don't know who might be watching. Good character can make a difference in one's life. We should not have the opinion, "it doesn't matter, I can live anyhow" because in the end it would have become dozens of matters. Take heed. Be wise. Don't play smart, thinking you will get away with it. Don't put people in a precarious position, in your quest to get to the top. Don't cut corners or cheat to get to any level in life because pay day is coming. Instead be sober and vigilant.

Character tells alot about a person, his history and upbringing, family and Nation, level of transformation and growth etc. So we should be good ambassadors of our family and Nation. We should represent well at all times: within and outside the country. Many international doors or opportunities to travel outside the country have been shot against Nigerians in recent times because in the past, those who had these same opportunities abused them. Our leaders did not help matters too. They contributed in making this country the headquarters of corruption in the world, by constantly looting of our national treasury and taking them into foreign accounts and lands; thereby enriching these countries and further plunging us as a people into deep poverty and prolonged hardships. Corruption eats deep destroying everything on its path. That is why other nations see us as Cancer, a deadly disease. If they by any means should allow us into their country, we will bring with us that evil seed of corruption. They don't want what they built and laboured for years to be destroyed. They can't be blamed for treating us harshly, we brought such to ourselves. So if we must be accepted and well received in other countries without an eye brow being raised, let's make ourselves and home country a reference point in good deeds. Let's collectively change the narrative. We can not undo the wrong already done in the past, but we can only correct them by our quality decisions and actions today. So that is why, we have to be conscious of our character and reputation at times and in whatever situation or level of provocation. So that we don't further compound our problems.

DAILY REFLECTION: Ecclesiastes 7:1a
ANCHOR VERSE: "A good name is better than fine perfume."

Our character is our signature, authorisation and access as far as this earth realm or eternity is concerned. So don't make light of it. Imagine writing a cheque to withdraw huge amount of money for a project without puting down your signature or signing a different thing. Firstly, the banker will call your attention to it; if you can't still provide an authentic signature, the banker will scrutinized your account to be sure he is dealing with the real owner of the account. If he is satisfied that you are the real owner, he will then show you the signature from the system beckoning of you to sign still. If after all these and you still can't provide the accurate signature, you might end up leaving the banking hall without any penny that day or they bank will take you through the process of changing your signature from the old to the new which will definitely take alot of time. This is what would have taken limited time or no time at all, if you had provided the signature, but now you are now being delayed and required to pass through an authentication process. That is how it is with us when we want to make withdrawals from life without meeting up with the required standard. Your signature (character) is the symbol of your identity (uniqueness), authorisation (power) and access(withdrawals) in life. So, bank on it. It has the capacity to keep you at one spot in life or shift you to the next level. Character is key when it comes to making something out of our relationship with God, family, friends and neighbours.
You can decieve people with your possessions and packaging but your character will fish you out. You can't pretend to be what you are not for too long. Nature has a way of putting people where they truly belong. Don't let nature place you in a certain class; when you can work on yourself and move to the class of your choice. We might try to play smart in the beginning, but our character will always find us out in the end and place us where we truly belong. Our bad character is always with us everywhere, except we improve and change for good. Dropping old and unproductive characters is key to self transformation and turnaround. Be ready to build good and abiding characters. Add to your character today and you will be on your way to limitless triumph all through life.

Happy new month to you! Welcome to February, our month of CHARACTER AND RELATIONSHIP in this year of TRANSFORMATION AND TURNAROUND. It was an exciting time all through the month of January; this month shall be unique and interesting too as we wait on the Lord for new insights and messages: as a result, growing in character and relationship with Him and others. Our character is who we are, what we represent and stand for. We are nothing but our character. Every other things can be faked(marriages, houses, certificates, shape etc) but not character. Character can only be hidden for some time but will surely distinguish us from the crowd. It will definitely find us out and stand us apart. You can't hide your authentic self for too long. Time is the revealer of anything hidden. That is why you need the Holy Spirit in this time and age, because He is the revealer of secrets especially when someone has an intention of using false identity to hurt you. You are your character and your character is you. You can't be separated from your character vice versa. People naturally will show forth the character in them whether good or bad in the course of time especially when it is subjected under pressure of any magnitude. The stuff one is made of( that is, your inner content) will gush out effortlessly when under pressure (challenges, trials, temptations, rejection, betrayal, etc). It is like applying pressure to the palm fruit, the oil in it will come out and not water. So in pressure, we can't hide anymore: our true character is in full glare, whether good or bad. Because at that point we are in our element; our inner core has been shaken or subjected. We can not but bring out what is in there. At this point, you can't hide it anymore, the lid has been taken off; you will just be vibrating from the hidden man inside which is full of carnality and selfishness. You can't hide your character for too long, why not start being real and genuine. Why pretend when you can become. Infact in relationship, our character find it's full interpretation and colour; it speaks volumes, it is seen clearly. Our character determines If our relationships will continue or cease. Since we are relational beings, it is expedient we work on our character to have a better and much richer experience, whether with our spouses or with God. It doesn't take much to build one's character, but it will cost you everything if you fail in this regard. When not properly built, your character will cost you: your marriage, job, business, family, friends, progress and increase. The place of character in relationship can not be over emphasized. Let's continue tomorrow.

The reason most people don't make progress is that they don't tell themselves the truth. They shy away when truths are brought forward. They don't want to come out of darkness maybe because they enjoy what they get from it even at the expense of their neighbors. Your ability to accept the truth and make adjustments as the result of the truth you know, will lead to transformation, growth(translation) and greater good. It is good to confront our fears with the truth/light, because fear is enshrouded in darkness and secrecy. Anything unknown has the capacity to terrify, no wonder people fear the unknown. In light, there is certainty and assurance of a good end. As you are able to see and know for sure; But in darkness and ignorance, the reverse is the case. Infact one will live in perpetual fear and pain. In darkness/ignorance, torment doesn't go away, pain can never cease. Always living in regrets and constancy of mistakes. It doesn't take much to come to light, but darkness takes everything from you and still keeps one bound. It saps your strength. Darkness steals from you. The truth is liberating and refreshing. It brings one to a land of everlasting joy, peace, certainty, security and assurance forever. I can talk about this for a whole day without being tired because I have experienced it first hand. Don't delay to confront any dark area of your life with the light of God's word. What the truth comes with it is life, peace and stability, because what is hidden is revealed. Light will make one to act while darkness will cripple you and keep you at a spot. It is when you fully know that you can act accordingly. In this age and time, you need to act to experience the much needed change you crave. What light does is that it helps you to act. It takes away the covering(lid) and cause you to be seen and heard. It gives you the stamina to continually act until your change comes. You have strength of focus and are consistent and persistent in your actions, causing you to be global. You become global when you act than procrastinating; when humanity drinks from the knowledge that flows from you; when people come to light because of you. People begin to catch revelation and discover who they are because of you and as a result fulfil destiny; thus leading many to righteousness. People begin to find rest and hope because of you. Dare to be global.
POINT TO PONDER: Dare to be global.
QUESTION TO CONSIDER: Am I afraid to come to light?
ACTION POINT: Accept the truth and change as a result.

Continuing from yesterday, there are consequences if one failed in alignment. At old age, your life will be filled with so much regrets and mistakes that you will even enter the grave with them. So seek after things with eternal value. If you follow God's plan for your life, one open door will lead to the opening of the next till you are satisfied and truely lived a life of purpose. When you are in God's will, little effort great results because the grace of God is backing you up. Some people are not ready for marriage or business breakthrough/expansion, no wonder nature is resisting their every effort. Because getting such breakthroughs unprepared might lead to their early destruction, as there is no requisite knowledge to sustain it. No wonder the bible speak of wisdom with so much emphasis (wisdom is justified by her children- Luke 7:35); that wisdom has to be present for anything to be durable except you want it now and it will disappear the next minute. True riches are durable because alot was put in place before it's arrival.
Nature has a way of holding back things we are not ready for, prepared for or qualified for. Reason being that it will ruin us. It is like giving a car to a child. The child has not developed capacity and stature to match any challenges that might arise in the future concerning that gift. Or putting a new wine in an old wine skin. What will be the resultant effect? The wine skin will burst and the new wine wasted. God is not a waster of resources. So come up hither. Come to a higher ground to be able to receive from God except you want to perish with sudden riches. The questions should be: How do I grow in this area? What do I know in this area? Do I have the requisite knowledge or stature that will help manage any pressure that might come as a result? Until these questions are answered and necessary adjustments made, the miracles/expectations will still not be in view.
POINT TO PONDER: True riches are durable because alot was put in place before it's arrival

In addition to thoughts and actions for relevance is seeking after things with eternal values and reward. When a friend or colleague that is in alignment to God's program and calendar his/her life is making it, you will start making comments like, "he/she is lucky" "good things are not coming to me" "why is my path so hard?" Or start cursing your parents or grand parents for being the cause of your predicament. What you failed to know about them is their spiritual connection and root. The sacrifices they make, the self development and transformation they seek. They worked so hard to be where they are right now. They worked so hard to enlighten their soul. Are you willing to stay with God for Him to make you?. Or do you want to remain a baby christain for life?. All you know is lust after money or leasing. Money and worldly pleasures can't satisfy you. There is a deep hunger and passion in your heart that only God can satisfy. In this life, if you miss Jesus, you have missed it. if you discovered that you have missed it, the best you can do is get back on track. It is not yet late to follow after God. Align your heart and mind to God. Grow in Him. Then with His help, the much needed transformation and growth will come naturally. We shall continue tomorrow.

Another thing to note in your thoughts and actions for global relevance is that, your journey is unique and personal to you. You don't measure your progress and success by another's yardstick. You are a different mould, on a different journey. What you will achieve this year in the calendar of God for you might come to them in the next twenty years and vice versa. That is to say, their achievements today might come to you in ten years time in God's calendar for you. So don't be in a hurry or in competition to achieve what a colleague or friend have achieved. Follow God, allow Him to lead you. If God said for instance that you will build your first house at fifty, and you want it in your thirties so much so that you loose sight of the programming of God for you in that season, not achieving them because you did not direct your efforts accordingly as a result of wanting a house; you might end up not getting the house or getting it through wrong means, thereby complicating your life. If you did not get it for instance, you will feel disappointed in God and worn out. Depressed and dejected. Feeling and thinking that every other areas of your life will be that hard. What you failed to understand is that, the timing was not right for that need to be met and you failed to achieve the one for you simply because you where carried away by your wants and not God's will for you.

In this season and time, don't be myopic in your thought and reasoning. Be ready for expansion and increase. Make a ten year plan and then break it into bits. Break it in such a way it look easy to achieve. By breaking it into units, it will help you measure your progress daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly yearly etc. Growth is measureable. You can track your progress and celebrate yourself from time to time. I always encourage people around me to grow. If you sit doing nothing, you are opening up yourself to a life of waste and retrogression. You will begin to reduce in value, not meeting the demands of the times. Self improvement is key, it is a positive power we have; and as such must use it to our own advantage. If one area of your life is not working, try other areas. Don't be static or stocked in a spot. Multi-task, try out new things. Explore. Experiment and learn. Yes, you will make mistakes but don't be deterred. Keep trying, you might get a big break that will change your life forever. While trying out new things and finding out why it can't work this way or that way, you are indirectly learning. What you learn is with you for life.That learning experience is priceless. You are better than those who are afraid to try. Some will laugh at you or misjudge you. Keep pushing. They will change their mind and celebrate you someday. Don't back down.

I will not end this series without talking about your expected end. God is interested in ensuring that they come to pass. Since the beginning of this series, we have examined the different aspects of God's thought; if you will obey and serve God as were stipulated, God will not leave you empty. He will make something beautiful out of your life. Many shall come to your light. Many shall find purpose and meaning because of your walk with God. Even when you are long gone out from the earth, people will keep on talking about the impacts you made. I don't know about you but I want be an eternal excellency and a joy of many generations. I want to do great things for God: I want build churches, create jobs, heal the sick, sponsor the orphans, preach the gospel, emback on giant kingdom projects, make heaven etc. These are my expected ends. I know God will make them happen for me, if only I believe and follow Him every step of the way. God will do the same for you and much more if you believe and align. I pray for you: that you shall not fail God in your time here on earth...you shall finish strong and make God proud in the end in Jesus name. AMEN!!

God is still interested in you, no matter the errors in your life. Your past mistakes and all. You are still eligible for enlistment into his formidable army. God is in the business of restoring men back to their original plan and purpose. No matter how dirty and filthy you might feel and look, his arms are wide open. He has not given up on you. He has placed so much investment on you, to abandon you. Rise up, take a bold step and return to Him. Accept His love offer in the person of Jesus. Confess your sins and forsake them Make a firm declaration and commitment to follow Him in all situations and circumstances. Get back to the bible, prayer and soul winning. Join a bible believing church and you will be on your journey to a fulfilled life. Your journey will so interesting as you will see things from a winning point of view. Your perspective about life and living will change, you will begin to live healthy, making wise choices and decisions. In fact you will begin to truely live; as you will be a blessing to all and sundry. Anyone who comes in contact with you will not get over with you: always remembering you with so much joy and excitement. In summary, you will become an unforgettable encounter in their memory. As this series is gradually coming to an end, God wants to make us a shinning star forever. He likened us to a star; From distance, a star looks little, until you come close and you will find out it is much bigger than the sun. So dear, you are bigger than you seem. Take pride and run with this mindset. He wants to make us an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. A city that is set on a hill which can not be hidden. A salt and light of the world. He wants us to be messengers of peace, to be His ambassadors(representatives) here on earth. To rebuild ruined and wasted cities.
Who doesn't want to make a name under God like Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Sarah, David, Daniel, Joshua, Esther, Mary, Paul etc. Before we were born, God has painted a beautiful picture of us and how we shall flourish and end. He is very serious about it and won't change His mind one bit. All we have to do is align, get committed and focused in His business. Yes I say business: the king's business require haste. He needs you and I to make it happen.What a privilege? What an honour? What a calling?. Think about it, try considering His offer today.
