Today, we celebrate young people as powerful drivers of change and champions of global development.

This year's theme, โ€œLocal Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,โ€ shines a light on the incredible ways youth are helping the world achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030).

These goals include ending poverty, achieving gender equality, ensuring quality education, providing clean water and sanitation, and promoting good health and well-beingโ€“causes that sit at the heart of what we do here at Period Slay

WORLD BREASTFEEDING AWARENESS WEEK 2025 IS HERE!(AUG 1-7)

Theme: Invest in Breastfeeding, invest in the future.

Breastfeeding isn't just feedingโ€“itโ€™s building a future.

Breastfeeding supports infant immunity, reduces the risk of infant mortality, encourages mother-to-child bonding and strengthens families.

It can also reduce the risks of breast and ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure in the mother.

However, a lot of mothers still face barriers such as lack of information, support, as well as lack of safe spaces to breastfeed.

At Period Slay, we believe that supporting girls and women through every stage, from menstruation to motherhood, creates stronger and healthier communities.
