Through Rotary’s global service projects and programs, we seek to advance peace and world understanding and support causes that contribute to Positive Peace. Our Rotary Peace Centers provide peacebuilders from communities around the world with the skills, knowledge, and networks to be effective catalysts for peace. 🕊️

Thanks to the generous support of donors, the dedication of Rotary members, and the commitment and expertise of our university partners, more than 1,800 Rotary Peace Fellows have graduated from our peace centers to pursue social impact careers and initiatives — locally, regionally, and globally. "Every Child Deserves to Learn": Empowering Young Minds through Education and Health

On Thursday, 19th September 2024, Rotaract club of Maryland in partnership with Rotaract club of Federal University of Allied Health Sciences embarked on an inspiring journey to promote basic education and literacy among underprivileged students.
Our project, themed "Every Child Deserves to Learn," aimed to provide essential educational materials and promote health awareness among young learners according to the Area of Focus of Rotary for the month of September.

The project took place at Trans Ekulu River Nursery and Primary School Nike, Enugu, where Rotaractors distributed exercise books, pens, pencils, and toothbrushes to students. These simple yet vital tools will enable students to engage effectively in their academic pursuits and maintain good oral hygiene.

Our team also conducted engaging pet talks, addressing important topics.
The enthusiasm and gratitude displayed by the students and teachers were heartwarming. Our interactions revealed the dire need for support in these communities, highlighting the significance of initiatives like ours.

Impact and Achievements:

1. Students received essential educational materials
2. Students received toothbrushes distributed to promote oral hygiene
3. Interactive sessions inspired confidence and motivation
4. Strengthened partnerships with local schools and communities.

"Every Child Deserves to Learn" exemplifies our commitment to education and literacy. By providing basic necessities and promoting health awareness, we empower young minds to reach their full potential. Rotaract club of Maryland has remains dedicated to creating lasting impacts in our communities.
