Children can be so dramatic!

Few months ago, we hosted one of the biggest projects of feeding 2,000 children within the state.

One of the things we planned to share with the children was footwear; so on that fateful day, as we were sharing the gifts, a little boy came out from the audience and started removing his shoes. He removed them and walked barefoot.

I believe all that drama was to catch our attention.

This shows how myopic their mindset can be, We all need to look closely and find out what they actually need.

Many times they will trigger you to scold them, even the very young ones, but it takes patience to look away.

Children are great gifts, do not endure them, treasure them.

Happy birthday to an ideal mother.

When we think of a woman of immeasurable value, It's your picture we see.

You have left a lasting impacts in our lives that words are not enough to express.

We cannot count how many widows and children that you have given reasons to smile again.

Should we not also talk about the sick ones that you paid their hospital bills and ensured they received a healthy life again.

No wonder they call you "The Dorcas of our time".

Your numerous projects across the State have touched lives and put smiles on the faces of the indigents.

Indeed! your kind is rare.

Words will fail us to describe your motherly love, care and words of encouragement you give to everyone around you.

You live an examplary life as a mother, a teacher, a leader, attorney, and ambassador inspiring us in countless ways.

We thank God for adding another wonderful year to you and we pray that the Lord will shield you and yours from every plans of the evil ones.

Your little act of charity can go along way in saving you.

Growing up, I could see my mum divide our food and share it with other children.

I have not seen any selfless human being like her.

She just has this heart of love for children.

I have seen her gather children in our house to teach them countless times.

A time came when my siblings travelled, and it was only my mum who was around.

These same children took over the house chores.

They would come early in the morning and sweep for her.

They would gather themselves to ask her, what can we do for you?

To the point that they made plans among themselves to cultivate one of her farm lands, this land is not less than a hectare if I'm not mistaken.

These children wholeheartedly volunteered to do it for her, something that would have cost her around N20,000 or more.

But because she has been offering values to them.
They came through for her when she needed them.

It is good to impact lives, no matter how little.

You can make a difference even in the little things you do by touching lives positively.

With the theme: *"Uplifting widows' voices"*

The Founder/CEO of Women and Children Action Charity Organization Barr. Maudline Nwakuche hosted over 65 widows in Enugu Metropolis on Saturday, 28th June in commemoration of International Widow's Day 2025.

We encouraged them to always stand strong with resilience and positive energy.

Women and Children Action Charity Organization also gave them monetary supports.
