When we found Victory 5 years ago we thought he was dead. He was barely breathing. We rushed him to the hospital where he was fighting for his life for 6 months.

Victory lived on the street where he was accused of being a witch. When we found him his body was infected by tetanus, a deadly infection.

We had to buy alot of oxygen bottles because Victory was not able to breathe on his own. He had cardiac arrest twice.

But Victory was not alone. Land of Hope’s nurse was with him every day. David and I and some of the children also visited him. He felt our presence and soft touches.

Now it’s the holiday season and it makes me think about the essence of Christmas:

Love, hope and peace.

We gave love to Victory. It gave him hope and today he lives in peace ✨
