FIGO Foundation Marks Six Years, Impacts Nearly 10,000 Beneficiaries
The Favour Itunu Gift Oladosu (FIGO) Foundation has marked its sixth anniversary, celebrating years of sustained humanitarian interventions across communities.
In a statement issued by the Communications Officer, Ayobami Abidoye on Friday, the foundation disclosed that close to 10,000 beneficiaries have been reached through its various programmes since inception.
The interventions cut across students, widows, the aged, and youths, with a focus on improving welfare and promoting self-reliance.
FIGO noted that its activities have included scholarship schemes, food distribution, and direct cash support to vulnerable individuals
The foundation also implemented the distribution of educational materials to students in underserved communities to support learning.
In addition, it organised seminars and mentorship sessions aimed at guiding young people toward productive and responsible living.
Skill acquisition programmes were also introduced to equip youths with practical knowledge for economic independence.
Medical outreach initiatives formed part of the foundation’s interventions, providing basic healthcare support to residents in selected areas.
Speaking on the anniversary, the President of the foundation, Itunu Oladosu, reflected on the journey, describing it as one driven by compassion and commitment to service.
She stated that the foundation started with a simple vision to reach out to those in need and has grown steadily over the years through consistent efforts.
Oladosu acknowledged the challenges encountered along the way but noted that the impact recorded has remained a major source of encouragement.
She commended sponsors, partners, volunteers, and friends of the foundation for their contributions and support toward sustaining its activities.
The FIGO President noted that the role of supporters has been instrumental in expanding the reach of the foundation’s programmes.
She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to extending its impact to more communities and increasing the number of beneficiaries.
The foundation stated that it will continue to focus on initiatives that address basic needs, promote education, and support community development.
