Solid Growth Foundation (SGF) came as a result of the success of the Solid Life Seminar (SLS), initiated in 2007, as monthly life empowerment seminar and lecture series, delivered, first at Egbeda and later at Gowon Estate, Ipaja, both in the Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos State, Nigeria. The SLS is a response strategy to eliminate mediocrity in people, challenge their core being, provide s
pace to express their potentials, and expose them to new life-development skills - to enable them understand and effectively utilise opportunities in their environment. A platform that offers these skills sets will free men from frustration, mental and physical poverty. The appropriate knowledge they would acquire will appreciably improve their lives. Within seven years, SLS:
1.Held about 70 Life and Business Management seminars with great impact on nearly 8,000 attendees, 35% of which were women in business and the professions;
2.Discussed and analysed more than 30 real life case studies and applications;
3.Organized six group-specific workshops;
Published one book, ‘Across the Spectrum of Development,’ two SLS seminar CDs and one bulletin;
4. Produced one documentary video on the impact of SLS; and
5. Organized two Annual Public Lectures.
