As we enter this new year, FUDMA SDGs Hub embraces renewed hope, a shared mission, and a steadfast commitment to sustainable development. The past year has strengthened our determination to advocate for equity, education, health, climate action, and inclusive growth both within our communities and beyond.

🔊 MEET OUR SPEAKER ❤️.

Jabir Tukur Bakiyawa is a 400-level Radiography student at Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, and a proud indigene of Katsina State, Nigeria. Passionate about modern medicine and technology, he chose Radiography to bridge healthcare and innovation. He currently serves Education officer of the SDGs Hub and also currently serve as the Secretary General of the university’s Radiography Student Association and Assistant Secretary General of the National Health Students of Nigeria, Katsina State Chapter.

Beyond academics, Jabir is a graphic designer, SDGs advocate, and community volunteer, with growing interests in artificial intelligence and content creation. He aspires to advance diagnostic imaging by integrating AI into radiographic practice and developing digital content that promotes healthcare education and accessibility.

🌿 FUDMA SDGs Hub &Lumiclimate Champion Climate Action in Dutsinma

On Sunday, the FUDMA SDGs Hub, in partnership with Lumiclimate, led a transformative Zero Waste Campaign and tree planting initiative in the Miami downtown area of Dutsinma. This student-centered effort aimed to promote environmental sustainability, reduce waste, and contribute to the achievement of SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land.

Through waste clearance and strategic tree planting, the team empowered the local community to take ownership of their environment and inspired collective action for a greener future. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of youth-led partnerships in driving real change.
