Yobe HoS Receives Multiple Honours, Pledges Stronger Collaboration With Stakeholders
The Yobe State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa Shehu, on Thursday in Damaturu, received multiple recognitions from key organisations for his contributions to the growth and development of the state’s civil service.
The Nigeria Tulip International College (NTIC), Yobe Branch, presented him with an Award of Excellence in acknowledgement of his commitment to the continuous training and re-training of civil servants in the state.
Similarly, the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), Yobe State Chapter, presented a special flier of recognition for his dedication to workers’ welfare.
Responding, the Head of Service expressed gratitude to both organisations, appreciating Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, for what he described as the governor’s visionary leadership and sustained support for the state workforce.
In a related development, a delegation from the Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries, Yobe State, led by its Chairman, Engr. Maisanda Lawan mni paid a congratulatory visit to the Head of Service following his recent appointment and swearing-in by the governor.
The delegation discussed ways to further strengthen the civil service and uplift it to the next level.
Also, officials from the Education Resource Centre and the JAMB Office, Yobe State, visited to extend their congratulations.
In his remarks, Shehu thanked all visiting groups and assured them that his office would work closely with their various institutions, particularly in areas of training, re-training, and broader human capacity development.
