TCDI Leadership Visits Field Teams Implementing WFP Life-Saving Humanitarian Assistance Project in Yobe State
As part of our commitment to quality implementation and staff support, the leadership of Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI) conducted a monitoring visit to the ongoing SCOPE Registration exercise under the World Food Programme (WFP) Life-saving Food and Nutrition Assistance Project in Gulani and Tarmuwa Local Government Areas of Yobe State.
The monitoring team comprised Bldr. Dr. Sama'ila Adamu (Zannah Uban Doma of Damaturu Emirate), Member of the TCDI Board of Trustees (BOT), Dr. Gambo Garba Muhammad, Executive Director of TCDI, and Gambo Usman Daya, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer. The team engaged directly with field personnel to assess progress, provide guidance, and encourage the dedicated staff working tirelessly across the project locations.
During the visit, Bldr. Dr. Sama'ila Adamu (Zannah Uban Doma of Damaturu Emirate) commended the field staff for their commitment, resilience, and professionalism despite the demanding nature of the exercise. He urged them to remain steadfast, dedicated, and selfless in the discharge of their responsibilities, emphasizing that every effort they make contributes to restoring hope and improving the lives of vulnerable communities. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work witnessed and encouraged the teams to sustain the momentum. He further reassured staff of the Board's unwavering support and advised that all operational concerns and requests should continue to be channelled through the Executive Director for appropriate action.
In his remarks, Dr. Gambo Garba Muhammad, Executive Director of TCDI, expressed delight with the remarkable level of teamwork, discipline, and leadership demonstrated by the field teams, describing these qualities as key drivers of the success recorded so far. He assured staff that their genuine concerns and requests would receive the necessary attention and encouraged them to continue working with humility, integrity, inclusiveness, and active community participation to ensure a transparent and credible enumeration process.
As part of the monitoring exercise, the team also interacted with community members, beneficiaries, and other participants involved in the verification process. They expressed heartfelt appreciation to the communities for their patience, cooperation, understanding, and warm reception throughout the exercise. The leadership encouraged beneficiaries to continue providing accurate information and to maintain their support for the exercise, noting that community cooperation is essential to ensuring that humanitarian assistance reaches the most vulnerable households in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner.
The field staff expressed profound appreciation for the visit, describing it as a timely source of motivation and a significant morale booster. They reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a successful exercise and appreciated the continuous support and confidence reposed in them by the organization's leadership.
The visit concluded with prayers for the safety of all personnel, the successful completion of the enumeration exercise, and the continued impact of the project in reaching vulnerable households across the target communities.
