I-RACE Team Update

Today, the Initiative for Rural Advancement and Community Engagement (I-RACE), joined other partner organizations in a Protection Sector Working Group Meeting held in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The session was Chaired by Dr. Jalo of SEMA, who provided valuable insights on strengthening protection mechanisms, enhancing coordination among stakeholders, and addressing the pressing needs of vulnerable communities across the state.

Our participation reflects I-RACE’s continued commitment to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advancing community based protection responses. We remain dedicated to working alongside partners to promote safety, dignity, and resilience for those we serve.

Initiative for Rural Advancement and Community Engagement (I-RACE) team And Other Partners have successfully conducted an advocacy visit to the sector Commander, Nigerian Army Headquarters, Sector 2 Joint task Force of Operation Hadin Kai in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The main purpose of the visit is to request for the attendance of the military in Mine Action AoR monthly Sector Meetings for stronger collaboration, coordination, information sharing, effective and holistic approach to support and complement the EORE Activities at the community level.

Together, we can enhance safety, security, protection of lives, and support victims to recover and build resilience in the affected communities.

🤝 We appreciate the Nigerian Army’s efforts commitment, cooperation and looking forward to building a sustainable partnership.
