NIGERIA AT 66: MUPSA FOUNDATION FOUNDER EMMANUEL OCHE ISAAC URGES NIGERIANS TO KEEP HOPE ALIVE
The Founder of MUPSA Foundation, Emmanuel Oche Isaac, has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the country's 66th Independence Anniversary to renew their hope, strengthen national unity and recommit themselves to building a better future.
Oche Isaac, in his Independence Day message, said October 1 should be a time not only for celebration but also for reflection, urging Nigerians to look at how far the nation has come and consider what each citizen can do to contribute to its progress.
He said Nigeria's future requires the collective efforts of citizens, leaders, civil society organizations, private institutions and young people.
“Independence gives us the freedom to dream, but nation-building requires responsibility. We must move beyond complaining about our challenges and begin to ask ourselves what positive contribution we can make to Nigeria and to the communities where we live,” he said.
The Founder stressed the need for greater attention to youth empowerment, education, entrepreneurship, skills development and social inclusion, describing young Nigerians as an important part of the country's future.
He encouraged youths to remain determined, acquire relevant skills and use their talents to create opportunities for themselves and others.
Oche Isaac also appealed to Nigerians to reject division and embrace unity, saying the country's cultural and ethnic diversity should be regarded as an asset.
“We may speak different languages, come from different backgrounds and belong to different communities, but we are Nigerians. Our diversity should bring us together, not drive us apart,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to demonstrate patriotism through their daily conduct, including showing concern for others, protecting public resources, supporting their communities and promoting peace.
According to him, building a prosperous nation is a continuous process that requires sacrifice, integrity, compassion and commitment from everyone.
Oche Isaac reaffirmed MUPSA Foundation's commitment to programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering individuals, supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to sustainable development.
He said:
“The Nigeria we want tomorrow depends on what we do today. Let us not lose hope because of our challenges. Let us continue to work, serve, empower one another and believe that a better Nigeria is possible.”
He congratulated Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora on the 66th Independence Anniversary and wished the nation continued peace, unity and prosperity.
“As we celebrate Nigeria at 66, let us celebrate our resilience, embrace our diversity and renew our commitment to building a nation that future generations will be proud to inherit.”
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria 🇳🇬
