Ododo ( Red) The colour of Edo speaking People.
You might be wondering why Edo brides put on red clothing and coral beads during their traditional weddings. The Red flannel cloth (Ododo) is the colour of Edo tribe. It represents Edo Culture, Tradition, Royalty and Nobility. It was introduced into the then Benin Empire during the reign of Oba Ewuare Great (about 1440AD-1473AD).
