HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, NIGERIA! 🇳🇬

From all of us at Arico Foundation, we celebrate our great nation at 66!

Independence is more than a date — it's the freedom to dream, to build, to empower our communities, and to keep the girl child in school.

As we raise our flag today, we renew our commitment to building a Nigeria where every young person has skills, every girl has dignity, and every community has hope.

We believe in Nigeria. We believe in Bauchi. And we believe the future will be better because we are building it together.

Happy Independence Day!

Arico Foundation attended the official inauguration of the first elected Executive Committee of the Bauchi State Women Agenda.

The inauguration marks a new chapter for women’s participation, advocacy, and inclusive leadership across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi State.

We celebrate the newly inaugurated executives led by State Chairperson, Blessing Mathias Gidado, and we commend the vision of the Convener and leadership for promoting unity, diplomacy, and constructive engagement.

We are proud to be a member of the Bauchi Women Agenda and remain committed to advancing equity, justice, and action for all women and girls.

Congratulations to the new EXCO!

Arico Foundation team has successfully completed a 2-day refresher training in preparation for our upcoming field activities in Birshi communities.

The training focused on:
✅ Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Facilitation Skills
✅ Safeguarding and Protection of Adolescent Girls
✅ Effective Use of IEC Materials in English and Hausa

Our Champions are now better equipped with participatory, girl-friendly methodologies to engage adolescent girls, break the silence around menstruation, and promote dignity and confidence.

We are set to ensure no girl is held back by her period!

On 29th August, 2026, Arico Foundation was honored to partner with Youth Adolescent Health Initiative & Counseling (YAHIC) for the BUILD SUMMIT 2026.

It was indeed a timely and impactful gathering of young leaders, change-makers, and development partners, all committed to building sustainable solutions for our communities.

The summit created a powerful platform for learning, networking, and collaboration, and we are proud to have been part of it.

We sincerely appreciate YAHIC for putting together such a timely and well-organized event. Thank you for your vision and for creating space for youth to build, learn, and lead.
