Welcome to 2026 - A Year of Impact, Resilience and Transformation
Season’s greetings from Rosana Empowerment Foundation (REF)!
On behalf of our management, staff, volunteers, partners, and beneficiaries, I extend a warm welcome to every member of the REF family as we officially resume full operational activities for 2026.
This new year presents a renewed opportunity to deepen our commitment to empowering women, girls, youths, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable households through impactful programmes, advocacy, and sustainable development interventions.
As we step into 2026, we do so with clarity, purpose, and conviction. The development space in Nigeria, and across Africa, continues to evolve in demanding ways: shifting regulatory frameworks, dwindling development financing, rising cost of living, social inequalities, and distressing challenges such as unemployment, gender-based violence, weak education outcomes, and deteriorating community health systems.
These realities present both a call to action and a responsibility. For REF, they reinforce the urgency of:
✔ strengthening our institutional capacity and strategic positioning,
✔ expanding partnership networks locally and globally,
✔ improving service delivery and localisation of solutions,
✔ enhancing accountability, transparency and results-based programming, and
✔ co-creating pathways to sustainable resilience with the communities we serve.
In 2026, REF will roll out several strategic programmes including:
🌿 the Women’s Economic Advancement Through Skills and Market Access Initiative,
👩🦱 Girls’ Protection and Education Outreach,
🚰 WASH and community health strengthening activities,
🫂 Support for vulnerable families and persons with disabilities,
🧠 Young people development, leadership, internship and mentorship programmes,
🌍 Advocacy for human rights, inclusion, and responsive governance,
🤝 Partnership-building with public institutions, CSOs, media, and the private sector.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to development partners, funders, volunteers, community leaders, media professionals, government institutions, and all friends of REF who continue to believe in and support our mission.
We value your partnership and look forward to deeper collaboration for the greater good.
To our teams across project locations:
Welcome back! Your commitment, creativity, dedication, and passion are the engine of everything REF does.
Let us recommit ourselves to excellence, compassion, and measurable impact.
As we begin another year of service, may we work boldly, collaboratively, and faithfully toward empowering lives and strengthening communities.
I warmly welcome you all to a productive, impactful, and transformational year.
In solidarity and service,
