It is disheartening to see youth squander their most productive years on insults name calling and unsubstantiated allegations against elders old enough to be their parents all in the pretence of defending a political personality.
Political loyalty should never necessitate the abandonment of civility, intellectual discourse and respect for elders. We must remember that the offices we defend today may the very offices we occupy tomorrow. Let us champion ideas, not insults, engage issues not personality, and preserve the dignity we may one day expect from other.
