🤝🌟 PARTNERSHIPS FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT 🌟🤝

As part of our continued stakeholder engagement ahead of the International Youth Day (IYD) 2026, the NYCN Olorunda Local Branch Executive Council, IYD Committee, and Ward Champions paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Abdulwahab Ashade .

The delegation, led by the Coordinator, NYCN Olorunda Local Branch, Comr. Balogun Abimbola Sodiq, used the opportunity to foster stronger collaboration and discuss matters relating to youth development, grassroots engagement, community participation, and opportunities for young people across Olorunda.

We sincerely appreciate Hon. Abdulwahab Ashade for the warm reception and his continued openness to engaging with the youths. His support and commitment to youth-focused initiatives are highly valued.

👑🤝 STRENGTHENING ROYAL PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT 🤝👑

In continuation of our strategic engagements with key stakeholders across Olorunda, the NYCN Olorunda Local Branch Executive Council, International Youth Day (IYD) Committee, and Ward Champions paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladele Friday Kosoko (JP), fMHR, Ogundeyi II, the Oniworo of Iworo Awori Land.

The delegation was led by the Coordinator, NYCN Olorunda Local Branch, Comr. Balogun Abimbola Sodiq.

The visit was a significant opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the traditional institution and the youths of Olorunda, while fostering greater collaboration in the areas of youth development, community engagement, leadership, cultural preservation, and the creation of meaningful opportunities for young people.

NYCN Olorunda deeply appreciates the warm reception, wisdom, and valuable support of His Royal Majesty. We believe that sustainable youth development requires strong partnerships between young people, traditional institutions, government, and other community stakeholders.

We are therefore delighted to announce that His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladele Friday Kosoko (JP), fMHR, Ogundeyi II, will be joining us as one of the Keynote Speakers at the forthcoming International Youth Day (IYD) 2026 Celebration.

🤝 STRENGTHENING GRASSROOTS PARTNERSHIPS FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Yesterday, Monday, 10th August , 2026, the NYCN Olorunda Local Branch Executive Council, International Youth Day (IYD) Committee, and Ward Champions held a strategic engagement with the Councillors of Olorunda LCDA.
The delegation was led by the Coordinator, NYCN Olorunda Local Branch, Comr. Balogun Abimbola Sodiq.

The engagement was aimed at strengthening the relationship between NYCN, the Ward Champions, and the Honourable Councillors, while exploring greater opportunities for grassroots mobilisation, community development, meaningful youth engagement, and access to opportunities for young people across Olorunda.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to formally invite the Honourable Councillors to the forthcoming International Youth Day (IYD) 2026 celebration and to seek their continued support towards the success of the programme.

The engagement was further honoured by the presence of the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Dauda Aina, whose leadership and commitment to grassroots development were highly appreciated. We are pleased to announce that Rt. Hon. Dauda Aina will be invited to serve as one of the Keynote Speakers at the forthcoming IYD 2026 programme.

NYCN Olorunda remains committed to building bridges, strengthening grassroots structures, and creating platforms where young people can participate, contribute, lead, and thrive.
