Uromi, Edo state — As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, lawmaker representing Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituenc, Edo state, Hon. Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has extended warm goodwill greetings to Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora, calling for national cohesion, patriotic resilience, and collective commitment to nation-building.

In an official Independence Day message, Hon. Okojie reflected on the country's historic journey since gaining sovereignty in 1960. He underscored that despite economic and structural challenges, the Nigerian spirit remains unbroken, anchored by the diversity, creativity, and determination of its people.

"Our 66th Independence Anniversary is not just a milestone of time, but a celebration of our collective strength and endurance as a people," Hon. Okojie stated. "God has endowed Nigeria with vast human and natural wealth, but our greatest asset remains our unity in diversity. We must continue to see our cultural, linguistic, and regional differences not as lines of division, but as the strong threads that weave the rich tapestry of our nation."

Addressing current national development efforts, Hon. Okojie emphasized the critical need for citizens to rally behind their leaders across all tiers of governance. He noted that sustained progress, infrastructure development, and economic transformation require the constructive partnership of every Nigerian.

"Building a great nation is a shared responsibility," he added. "While leadership requires accountability and vision, it also demands the active support, patience, and prayers of the citizenry. As election approaches, the Member representing Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie, has held a strategic engagement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Victorious Women Mobilizers and dedicated Ward Women Leaders across the constituency.

The meeting, aimed at fine-tuning grassroots door-to-door campaign strategies, focused on unifying party faithful and maximizing female voter turnout across all wards.

Speaking during the interactive session, Hon. Okojie commended the women leaders for their unwavering loyalty, discipline, and sustained mobilization efforts at the unit and ward levels. He emphasized that women remain the backbone of any successful election drive and reiterated his commitment to delivering impactful constituency projects, inclusive representation, and economic empowerment initiatives.

Loud Cheers and High Expectations as Hon. Okojie Commences Ward Tour Across Esan North-East

ESAN NORTH-EAST — The atmosphere across wards 6, 7, 8 in Esan North-East Local Government Area was charged with energy and celebration as the lawmaker representing Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie kicked off a comprehensive ward tour designed to engage directly with grassroots stakeholders, and listen to community needs.

The ward tour was greeted with large turnouts defiling the heavy downpour to register their support for the APC candidate, amidst enthusiastic cheers from constituents.

From ward 6, to ward 7 then ward 8 residents lined the streets to welcome the campaign team, turning the political tour into a festive of homecoming with thanks greeting the atmosphere on the numerous projects and empowerment he has attracted to the Federal Constituency

Politicial stakeholders, community leaders and residents of Uzea, Efadion and Amedokhian Communites in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State today, came out enmass to throw their support behind Hon. Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie for a second term in office.

The visit attracted party leaders, supporters, community stakeholders and residents, with the campaign council using the opportunity to strengthen its grassroots structures and engage directly with the people.

This growing visibility of the Okojie Campaign Council has also generated reactions within the local political space, with supporters describing the mobilisation as evidence of increasing grassroots activity ahead of the elections.

Speaking during the tour, the DG of the Campaign, Hon. Anslem Adima, stated that the objective was to take the campaign directly to the people and ensure that every ward and community remained actively connected to the political process.

Community leaders/stakholders while speaking during the visit, commended Hon. Okojie for the numerous projects in uzea, Amendokhian and Efandion among which are; the construction of open stall markets, construction of a modern motor park, provision of motorized borehole reticulated to provide water to over 3,000 persons, provision of over 2000 poles of high powered solar street lights, provision of Furniture and customized school bags, notebooks and other instructional materials as well as the ongoing construction of a Standard primary health care centre aimed at providing the people proper Medicare.

Hon. Okojie, while addressing the people, sue for unity, discipline and sustained grassroots engagement. The lawmaker also called on the people to vote APC from top to bottom - from the President, Senate, House of Representatives as well as the State House of Assembly.

“Our strength is in our people. We will continue to engage our communities, listen to their concerns and work together for the development of our constituency,” Okojie said.

The campaign council's appearance in the aforementioned wards further underscores the increasing political activity in the constituency as political parties and candidates begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
