Strategic Meeting with SGBV Service Providers in Edo State
Community-based Initiative for a Brighter Tomorrow (CIBT) participated in a strategic meeting with Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) service providers in Edo State, organized by BraveHeart Initiative (BHI) under the Strengthening Access to Justice Project (SAJP), with support from the MacArthur Foundation.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, improve SGBV response mechanisms, and promote effective data management among partner organizations.
As part of the event, BHI and the MacArthur Foundation recognized CIBT for its outstanding commitment to combating Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and for its consistent and timely submission of quality SGBV data. In appreciation of the organization’s dedication, they presented institutional support items to CIBT.
The donated items included an office cabinet, printer, Wi-Fi router, and other office stationery to strengthen the organization’s operational capacity, enhance documentation and data management systems, and improve service delivery to survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.
Receiving the items on behalf of CIBT, Julia Bienose, Executive Director of Community-Based Initiative for a Brighter Tomorrow (CIBT), expressed heartfelt appreciation to BraveHeart Initiative (BHI) and the MacArthur Foundation for the recognition and support.
“This support is a strong encouragement to our team and a testament to the importance of timely, accurate SGBV data in strengthening service delivery. The donated equipment will greatly improve our documentation, reporting, and case management processes as we continue to provide quality support to survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. We sincerely appreciate BraveHeart Initiative and the MacArthur Foundation for this thoughtful investment in our work.”
CIBT remains committed to working collaboratively with government agencies, civil society organizations, and development partners to advance gender justice, strengthen SGBV prevention and response systems, and ensure that survivors have access to quality, survivor-centered services across Edo State.
