The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home, Mrs. Kate Okunrobo Odianese, has expressed profound gratitude to God and to all kind-hearted partners for their unwavering support and contributions towards the success of the orphanage, as the home marks its 3rd anniversary in Benin city, while describing the milestone as a testament to the consistency, dedication, and unwavering commitment of well-meaning and kindhearted partners in ensuring the sustainability of the God-given vision.
Okunrobo made this known while briefing the press on Friday, 24th of October, 2025, at Orphanage residence, at Evbukhun community, off Sapele road, in Benin City.
According to Okunrobo, the Orphanage Home is neither a business nor a Government enterprise, but a vision and a special commitment, driven by intense passion and compassion for the less privileged, ensuring they grow and are nurtured into the leaders that God has created them.
Okunrobo said: My heart is filled with joy and gratitude to God Almighty as we celebrate our 3rd anniversary as a family and as a foundation. This milestone victory, to me, is nothing short of a miracle and a testament to God’s faithfulness, considering the storms and challenges we have overcome.
“Before I continue, I feel so happy for the partners and stakeholders God has assigned to this vision. They have been part of our story from the very beginning, and have stayed committed to adding value to the success of God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home”.
According to Okunrobo: “I sincerely want to say, thank you so much, and that together, we will continue to rise higher, and put smiles on the faces of the young orphans, widows, and underprivileged children that God has committed to our care.
“I am not here to give much talk, but to thank God for how far he has brought us, as an orphanage home, and to reaffirm my commitment to ensuring the orphanage children God has committed unto my care become the champions and global stars that the world awaits to celebrate.
Harping on her motivation in kick-starting an orphanage home that caters to humanity, Okunrobo noted, “Running an orphanage home is not a business as many suppose, it is a special calling by God through a kind and passionate individual, to carry out his assignment of helping and transforming the lives of those who are helpless and downtrodden.
“I just couldn’t watch young children pass through tortures, neglect, and abuse, having been there while growing up. This orphanage has been a life of sacrifice. I could recall how I sold my precious valuables for humanitarian development. So, it’s a thing of the heart, putting yourself in the place of others”.
Quoting from the scripture, Okunrobo said: “In the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, in John 14:18, Jesus specifically said to us, 'I will not leave you as orphans (comfortless, bereaved, helpless); I will come [back] to you'. This shows us how much Jesus cares about the comfort we give to orphans, widows, and the less privileged. And with this, I will not fail to thank the Caregivers, including the mainguard , for the heartfelt services rendered to our children”.
She added: “Together we rise higher. Thank you, and God bless you”.
