"Ability in Disability Wiki: Voices from the Chains" was a Wikimedia awareness campaign and edit-a-thon organized by the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria – Anambra Network to amplify the voices, stories, achievements, and lived experiences of persons with disabilities through Wikimedia projects.
The initiative combined awareness, training, and collaborative editing to promote disability inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and improve free knowledge about disability-related topics.
Participants learned how to contribute to Wikimedia projects while creating and improving articles that celebrate ability, resilience, and inclusion.
Together, we strengthened representation, preserved inspiring stories, and contributed to a more inclusive and accessible knowledge ecosystem where every voice matters.
Together, we didn't just edit—we broke barriers, amplified voices, and proved that disability is not inability.
