As the Proprietress of Stars of Power Orphanage Home, Awka, I’m compelled to raise awareness on a silent but deadly health crisis affecting millions of Nigerian children—Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

📉 The Shocking Truth:

🔴 1 in every 4 Nigerians carries the sickle cell gene (AS).
⚠️ Over 150,000 babies are born annually in Nigeria with SCD—the highest rate globally.
💔 50–90% of affected children in rural areas die before age 5 due to lack of early diagnosis and care.
📚 Despite these statistics, awareness remains dangerously low.

We are using our voice and platform to champion sickle cell education. Ignorance is no longer an excuse.
