2027: The Rescue Mission Awka North & South Cannot Ignore

Since the Founder of Ide Global Movement and Convener of Ide Global 4 Soludo Second Term Support Group, Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, Rff (Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze), officially declared his intention to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in 2027, the political atmosphere within the constituency has taken a new direction.

His emergence has sparked renewed hope among the grassroots and, understandably, unsettled certain political interests who now see in him a formidable force with growing acceptance across communities. EKWEOZOR FAMILY ATTENDS VIGIL MASS FOR LATE CYNTHIA CHUKWUNEKE

The Ekweozor family of Umuawulu, led by Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor (Rff), attended the requiem mass of Late Mrs. Cynthia Ngozi Chukwuneke (née Ekebere) at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lekki, Lagos.

The bereaved husband, Mr. Chigozie Chukwuneke, is a nephew to Ide Umuawulu and a grandson of the late Mrs Christiana Onuabuchi Ekweozor (Asa Mboye).

The requiem mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Wisdom Chikezie, was marked by deep reflections on the teachings of Christ and words of encouragement to the grieving family, especially the husband. In his homily, he prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and urged the family to find solace in God, emphasizing that all things are subject to His will and divine purpose.

In his closing remarks, Ozo Dr. Ekweozor expressed appreciation to all who came to sympathize with the family. He prayed for God’s guidance and safe return for all attendees, and also commended the priests and choir for the solemn and uplifting service.

The liturgy featured hymns, praise and worship, Holy Communion, and offerings.

‘No Previous Governor Has Developed Anambra Like Soludo’

A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr Azubuike Ekweozor, has declared that the achievements of the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, are visible to all, including the blind, and that no previous governor has done better.

Ekweozor, an aspirant of the party for Awka North and South Federal Constituency for the House of Representatives, said the achievements of the governor in Anambra State in the last four years are overwhelming, and that every right thinking citizen of the state cannot afford not to support him.
He stated this in Awka on Sunday, 3rd May, during an event to declare his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, saying that the governor needs people who can support him with policies from the National Assembly.

He said: “Our National leader, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has shown what it means to serve the people with passion and dedication.
“Go round Anambra State and you will see his good works everywhere. He is the man who has given us hope in the party and shown us that everything is possible with diligence, passion and hard work.

“As he is working hard in Anambra State, he needs honest men from our party who will go to the National Assembly and provide him the support he needs to be able to continue to accomplish great feats here.”

Ekweozor, who received the endorsement of many political bigwigs and traditional rulers of the area during the event said that Awka North and South Federal Constituency needs an honest man who will represent the people selflessly and also ensure the growth of the people and development of the area.
“I have taken time to look at our zone properly and I believe that we should be more developed than what we are seeing today.

“That is why I have offered myself for this service. Awka North and South Federal Constituency needs equitable representation. What we need is a man who can speak for us, one who is accomplished and not seeking power to enrich himself.

“I’m offering myself to help develop our area because I know that I have been blessed immensely and I’m not seeking to represent you out of joblessness. I have been at the forefront of helping others, even without holding any public office. I want to do it at a larger scale, that is why I have come to seek your support,” he said.

Founder of the Ide Global Movement, Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, Rff (Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze), has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election for Awka North and South Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

The declaration ceremony, held at Hollywood Garden Event Centre, Awka, drew a large and diverse gathering of party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters from across all wards of the constituency, underscoring the growing grassroots acceptance of his candidacy.

In his address, Ide Umuawulu unveiled a bold Rescue Mission aimed at restoring quality representation, strengthening the bond between the people and governance, and delivering measurable development across Awka North and South. He emphasized that his aspiration is rooted in consultation, inclusion, and results-driven leadership, noting that the constituency possesses immense human and economic potential that must be strategically harnessed.

He further outlined key priorities of his mission to include youth empowerment, women-focused initiatives, economic expansion, and improved access to opportunities for all communities within the constituency.
