THE ELDERLY OUTREACH PROGRAM
Thursday, 18th June, marked a very significant day in the history of this great Association. On this memorable occasion, the Association hosted its Elderly Outreach Program at its place of origin and conception on Emebiren Street, Warri.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout of elderly men and women, making it a truly memorable and enriching experience for all participants. The atmosphere was filled with joy, fellowship, and appreciation.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were:
- Pastor Mrs. Mary Otikiri , Vice Chairman, Okpe Local Government Area
- Hon. Deaconess Mrs. Konbuwe Mowoe, Member, House of Assembly Service Commission, Asaba
- Pastor Gabriel Onotugoma and his wife, Rev./Pastor Mrs. Onotugoma Patricia
- Pastor Odige
- Apostle Godswill Akpoviri and his wife, the host pastors
- Other notable guests and well-wishers
The turnout exceeded expectations, resulting in an overflow attendance.
As part of the program, gift items were distributed to approximately seventy (70) elderly persons present. Each beneficiary received a bag of food items containing rice, groundnut oil, salt, and other essential provisions. In addition, every participant was presented with a six-yard wrapper.
To further demonstrate their love and generosity, the host Pastor and his wife also presented each participant with an envelope containing a cash gift.
The program was a huge success and brought immense joy to the elderly, many of whom expressed gratitude for the kindness and support shown to them. It was indeed a day of celebration, love, and renewed hope for all who attended.
