CHINONYE SMILE-CARE INITIATIVE VISITS DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY, ABRAKA, ON FORTHCOMING PARENTS/TEACHERS CONFERENCE
On Thursday, 18th June 2026, we were recieved by the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Prof. Douglason Omotor, in relation to our organization's forthcoming Parents/Teachers Conference for Ukwuani LGA, Delta State.
Our visit was centered on engaging the institution to serve as "Education Research" body at the programme with focus on “Examining the Educational disparities and systemic challenges that adversely affect students’ academic preparedness and performance upon entry into Tertiary Institutions”. We believe that many of the learning gaps, literacy deficiencies and academic adjustment challenges experienced by first-year higher institution students often originate from weaknesses within the secondary education system.
We sincerely appreciate the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, and the University Management for the warm reception, hospitality, and the honour of receiving our delegation through the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Douglason Omotor. We are particularly grateful for their recognition of our efforts and their appreciation of the important role our initiative is playing in advancing educational development and shaping meaningful conversations around the future of education in our society.
