After series of intense negotiations and persistent advocacy, we are delighted to share the news that the strike has been lifted.

Following a crucial meeting with the State Coordinator of the Department of State Security Services, the Student Union Government has decided to put the planned protest on hold. The decision comes ahead of a forthcoming meeting between the State Government, ASUU officials, and student leaders, scheduled for Wednesday.

In light of this development, all efforts initially geared towards tomorrow's protest should now be focused on achieving a positive outcome from Wednesday's meeting. We remain hopeful that the discussions will yield a favourable resolution to the ongoing impasse.

Dear All,
Yesterday, the Commissioner of Police for Bayelsa State and the Department of State Services acknowledged the receipt of our letters regarding a peaceful demonstration, as well as our request for security during the protest.

The peaceful protest, in response to the ongoing ASUU-NDU Strike which has kept students at home for over seven weeks is scheduled for Monday, 10th February 2025 promptly at 7 AM, and further details will be provided soon.
