*A COMPLETED CULVERT*
A culvert constructed by the ATU CWC at Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri, connecting the main school premises to the Examination hall and laboratory locations.

This is an uncommon feat as that spot required a culvert but was neglected for about 47 years of existence of the school from the year of its establishment, making it not motorable from the main premises to the other facilities in the school.

To God be the glory for the success story recorded today with the support of the great Amasiri Sons and Daughters.

The ATU CWC under the visionary PG requests patriotic Amasiri Sons and Daughters to identify with Amasiri Town Union. More cash donations will be highly appreciated, for together we can do more for our people, as more projects are being rolled out. *The ATU Media*

2025 NECO Registration of Selected Students from Amasiri: A Life-Changing Initiative by the Amasiri Town Union

The President General (PG) of Amasiri Town Union (ATU), Eze Udu Chukwu, led a team of members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) and the Education Committee of the Union on visits to public Secondary Schools in Anasiri on 16th May, 2025 for verification of students for registration for the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Examinations for SS 3 students.

In a carefully organized selection process, 27 deserving students were chosen from across the five villages that make up Amasiri. This act of communal upliftment is not just a charitable gesture but a strategic and purposeful action aligned with the implementation of a 3-year Blueprint of the Union unveiled at the ATU ROADMAP PRESENTATION on 21st April, 2025.

This thoughtful intervention was specifically targeted at students who were unable to register for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams due to financial constraints.

It is important to emphasize that this exercise was made possible through the collective financial contributions of the great sons and daughters of Amasiri, who continue to show unwavering support for the growth and development of their community.

The objectives of this initiative go beyond registration for NECO. It is designed to curb involvement in social vices by giving indigent students a fighting chance at education and self-improvement. It is a transformative and life-changing initiative as part of the annual program of the Union.

Furthermore, there is a clear follow-up strategy: after the NECO examinations, the students will be guided into skill acquisition programs of their choice or encouraged to pursue further education, with continued support from the great Amasiri sons and daughters.

This visionary program reflects the ATU’s commitment to education, youth empowerment, and community development, and stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together for the common good.
