IWAKUN RECEIVES MAN O' WAR ONDO LEADERSHIP, RALLIES STRONGER VOLUNTEERISM ALLIANCE

The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Volunteer Services, Hon. Iwakun Adeolu Charles, has reaffirmed the state government's resolve to strengthen volunteerism through strategic partnerships, recognition of volunteers and a sustainable reward system for selfless service.

Iwakun made this known while receiving the leadership of Man O' War Nigeria, Ondo State Command, led by the State Commander, Mr. Akinlotan Adewale, during a courtesy visit to his office.

The meeting centred on volunteerism, citizen engagement and community development, with both sides exploring avenues for deeper collaboration in advancing service-oriented initiatives across the state.

Highlighting the vision of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Iwakun said the administration remains committed to promoting volunteerism, celebrating the contributions of volunteers and institutionalising a meaningful reward system that recognises dedicated service.

He described Man O' War Nigeria as one of the country's most enduring voluntary organisations, noted for its rich tradition of discipline, service and community engagement.

Earlier, the Man O' War State Commander, Mr. Akinlotan Adewale, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa's commitment to volunteerism and the development of Ondo State, while reaffirming the Command's readiness to work more closely with the Ondo State Volunteer Service.

The visit culminated in the presentation of an Award of Recognition to Iwakun by the Man O' War Ondo State Command in acknowledgement of his contributions to volunteerism and service to Ondo State, underscoring the shared commitment of both organisations to deepening collaboration for the state's continued development.
