Earlier this week, I led a high-powered delegation comprising officials from the Bureau of Public Procurement and the Ondo State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on a working visit to Okitipupa Local Government Area.

The delegation, which included the Director of Local Government Affairs (DLGA), Mr. Alonge Olawale, and a representative of the Bureau of Public Procurement, was warmly received by the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, along with his team.

We conducted an inspection tour of key projects, including the ongoing renovation of offices at the Council Secretariat, a poultry project, and the newly constructed lock-up shops at Old Garage.

Following our firsthand assessment, I commended the Chairman’s developmental efforts and landmark projects, which demonstrate people-focused governance at the grassroots and align with our EASE Agenda under H.E. Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in delivering the dividends of democracy.

Giving back to my community has always been close to my heart. Yesterday, I had the privilege of donating a wide range of medical equipment, office materials, and surgical instruments to the General Hospital, Araromi-Obu, in support of government efforts to improve healthcare delivery.

The items donated included a 6.5KVA generator, hospital beds, mattresses, a Lenovo laptop, an HP printer, a hydraulic operating table, a delivery couch, an ultrasound scan machine with printer, blood pressure monitors, an oxygen cylinder with apparatus, infusion stands, and a theatre light.

In addition, I presented surgical instruments such as artery forceps, intestinal forceps, Doyen retractors, needle holders, dissecting forceps, myomectomy screws, malleables, and Kocher’s forceps—making up a total of 38 different types of medical and office equipment.

For me, this gesture is more than just a donation; it is an investment in the health and well-being of our people. By equipping the hospital, we are laying the foundation for a healthier community where no one is denied care because of a lack of facilities.

I remain grateful to my personal assistant, Mr. Akinpelumi Bodunrin, who represented me at the official handover ceremony, and to Dr. Samuel Abiona, whose advice and guidance were invaluable throughout the process of mapping and purchasing the equipment.

My prayer is that this contribution will bring healing, comfort, and hope to the people of Araromi-Obu Kingdom.

VICTORY AFFIRMED! DEMOCRACY UPHELD!!

I extend my warm and heartfelt congratulations to my principal, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, mni, on their resounding victory at the Court of Appeal today, July 31, 2025.

The Court’s unanimous judgment is a powerful reaffirmation of the mandate freely given by the people of Ondo State in the November 16, 2024 governorship election.

Despite distractions and attempts to derail the will of the people, truth has triumphed, and the judiciary has once again proven to be the guardian of democracy.

Your Excellency, your calm leadership and focus on development—even in the face of legal battles—remain a model of statesmanship. This victory is not only yours, but belongs to every citizen who believes in progress, justice, and good governance.

In line with the inclusive governance and peacebuilding efforts of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, I received in audience the Warrant Chiefs from Okeigbo, Ile-Oluji Local Government Area, regarding the ongoing traditional leadership selection process for the Oluoke of Okeigbo.

The Chiefs emphasized the need for transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in preserving their cultural heritage, and expressed confidence in the capacity of the state government to guide the process peacefully.

I acknowledged their commitment to dialogue and assured them of the government's readiness to engage all stakeholders toward a fair and harmonious resolution. I also reaffirmed that the Aiyedatiwa-led administration remains dedicated to strengthening traditional institutions and sustaining peace across all communities in Ondo State.

During the week, I received in audience the Conference of Leaders of Local Government Legislative Houses, led by the Chairman, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Adeniya Henry.

The visit aimed to strengthen intergovernmental relations and align with the policy direction of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration. The delegation expressed appreciation for His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s inclusive leadership, especially his efforts to foster harmony between the Executive and Legislative arms at the grassroots level.

They also commended the administration for reviewing their welfare package, describing it as a bold step toward enhancing governance and legislative productivity.

I thanked the Conference for the visit and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to continuous engagement, collaboration, and improved welfare. I urged the delegation to remain focused on promoting people-centered governance and strengthening democratic structures at the local level.
