Why should God grant you long life?.
Good morning and happy Sunday to everyone. This is a reflexive question and I'd advise that you take time to think about it.
Now, alot of us pray for long life. We want to live to see our 10th generation. Some of us don't even want to die at all but we've managed to come to terms with the fact that everyone will pass away.
In this present age and time, even a blind person can see that value is the currency of the world now. Friendships, Relationships, etc are all founded on value. When a person addresses another person as 'useless', it simply implies that the other person isn't giving value. This also applies in the kingdom.
What is your life worth?... You're 20, 30, 40, etc and you still want to live up to 1 million years old. Of course, it's a good thing but I know people who seems like the more they age, the lesser the quality of their lives. Living long doesn't connote that you increase in age. As a matter of fact, a person can still live long even if he dies at age 33. Ask Jesus Christ, if you doubt that.
Plato, Aristotle and some other philosophers lived and died physically even before Christ came yet, it's like they're still with us even now.
You don't live long because you're 100 years old and still agile, you live long by giving your life to things that will reproduce itself even after thousands of years. Know this and know peace. You live long by duplicating your life in others. You live long by impacting the generations after you.
We have too many similar people in this world and hence, an original always mesmerises the world. If you truly want to live long, be original.
