A LIFE OF GRACE
Text: Prov 3:5-6,16:9,33; 10:4, 2Cor 10:17; Rom 14:7-8.
Today, many celebrate their achievements, laurels, sucessses, atrributing it oftentimes to good planning and hardwork. Yes as God's children the word of God encourages us to work hard put in effort and shun laziness but in all of these however, we have to recognise the place of GRACE Prov 3:5-6,16:9,33.
Grace is unmerited favour. You can't earn grace based on exceptional ability or efforts. Even with exceptional ability or efforts, still, you can't earn it.
Grace is by sheer providence. It is recognising the place of God's providence in human endeavours.
Grace is being chosen and favoured when it is obvious there are others better or more qualified. Grace is receiving extraordinary attention and kindness when oftentimes you don't deserve it. You can't explain Grace it is "Divine".
Therefore, you can't be thankful enough for grace, because it is not by any special efforts it's just that you are "helped". Those who live by grace boast in the lord 2Cor 10:17 and always see the need to give the glory and praise to the grace giver for the support and extraordinary unmerited help received.
Living by grace enhance the desire to thank the grace giver by replicating the help received to others in whatever way one can. For those who acknowledge the place of grace in their life the slogan should be "haven received help I can't but help others" those who have received grace also give grace-giving to them is not about being rich rather, it is having a rich heart by reason of grace received geared towards giving".
Appreciating the grace received propel the heart towards giving by asking: Lord how do I say thank you for the grace?
A life of grace is a life of thankful praise and giving. If you have truly received grace you can't but be grateful which will lead you to ask how to say thank you, how to share with others of the grace received?
Grace doesn't live for 'self' Rom 14:7-8 It sees whatever one has or own as God's providence therefore it cannot but share as a way of saying thank you to the Grace giver-God for the grace received!
Have you received Grace? Then rise, give cheerfully to others as a way of thankfully appreciating the Grace giver.
Grace is a thankful giver.
