Today the 14th day of January 2023, will go down in history as a Black Saturday for my dear town Akokwa and Ideato at large following the deadly attack at the country home of the leading candidate for the 2023 General election in Ideato federal constituency and as well, the PDP candidate for House of Representatives(Ideato north and south) Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu. It was a horrible experience indeed. Before my eyes, campaign vehicles, luxury cars, campaign materials worth hundred millions naira razed by fire. Before my very eyes, lives were lost. These were human beings like you and I; they had blood and water running through their vein but their lives were cut short. No man has the right to take away the lives he didn't create.

It's a painful and tragic situation right now in my home town.

What goes around comes around. The attack was targeted at Ikenga Ugochinyere's life today. It may be any one tomorrow. The evil we refuse to conderm today will definitely hunt us tomorrow. Election is more like applying for a job. It's never an avenue to destroy and kill others.

The will of God must prevail.
