ELITES CLUB OF AAGBA EMPOWERS 14 STUDENTS WITH WAEC SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT

In a bold move to advance education and youth development, the Elites Club of Aagba has sponsored the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees of 14 indigent students of Aagba Methodist High School for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Club provided a total sum of Five Hundred and Eighty-Eight Thousand Naira (N588,000) to ensure that the beneficiaries are able to sit for their final examinations without financial constraints.

President of the Elites Club of Aagba, Mr. Femi Aboderin, described the initiative as part of the organisation’s long-standing commitment to promoting education and empowering young people in Aagba community.

“Education remains one of the most powerful tools for community development. As a Club, we believe that no child should be denied the opportunity to write their examinations because of financial limitations. This is our modest contribution to securing a brighter future for these students,” he said.

The gesture has already received commendation from the management of Aagba Methodist High School. In a letter of appreciation addressed to the Club, the Principal, Mr. E.O. Odewuyi, praised the organisation for its generosity and commitment to educational development.

He noted that the support had lifted a major financial burden off the parents of the beneficiaries and inspired the students to pursue academic excellence.

“Your kindness has made a huge difference in these young lives, giving them a chance to pursue their education and future dreams. Your commitment to education and community development is truly inspiring,” the Principal stated.

The 14 beneficiaries of the scholarship support are:

Adeleke Samson
Adesina Taiwo
Adesina Teslim
Akinniran Samuel
Akinwande Ayuba
Olatayo Saheed
Oduwole Fawas
Oyewole Ifeoluwa

According to the Club leadership, the sponsorship is part of a broader programme aimed at empowering youths through education, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives.

The Elites Club of Aagba is an indigenous socio-cultural organisation committed to the promotion of education, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment in Aagba land, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.

With this latest intervention, the Club has reaffirmed its dedication to investing in human capital and ensuring that deserving students are given the opportunity to achieve their academic dreams.

Members of the Club expressed optimism that the beneficiaries would make the community proud and encouraged other well-meaning individuals and organisations to support similar educational causes.
