WHILE E-ROUTE TO SENATE, MY SELF-FUNDED PROJECTS AS HOUSE ASSEMBLY MEMBER - Maria Ude Nwachi

I shared a post by Senator Adeola of Ogun State, a true Senatorforall, who wowed us all with 53 solid projects he did for his district, someone said, MUN, will you do same for Ebonyi South? And my answer is I will do more! To support my answer below are projects I did while in office as a legislator with my personal funds. Can you imagine being in a position where the funds would be there for me to work, don't imagine, you won't imagine it right lol.

On the working Senator someone commented: This one and the Senate leader owns the Senate oh! The two are the real leaders, Akpabio is their boy! So, no lawmaker can compare to them in terms of liquidity.
I responded: my brother, not about money. Na heart. Someone like me will use my own money if I no see money from the position. So it's not about money from the positions. There are many senators there way richer than him but nothing to show, for their people.

When I was a Legislator in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly representing Afikp North East (2015-2019), I used my own money to do the projects below and more. I am one of the few in this country who won an election on merit. My election was like an uprising. I won my election through PPA, a party that did not exist in my state. I was one of 2 or 3 persons to win election in my state without being dashed a ticket by the ruling party. It also made me the first woman to be elected in Afikpo. This feat made it possible for other women from my place to be called to the table to be given tickets and high appointments. For the rare honor and trust bestowed on me by my people, I was going to leave myself behind and give all I could to my people. While in office, I was embattled, not being paid my entitlements and other perks of my position, there are months I did not get my salaries, basically it wasn't easy. I came out of that office VERY BROKE, broken. Took me years to recover, but I am just glad I have fully gained my balance and more.

You would be shocked that I got in huge trouble for using my money to work, it was considered an affront by the political class, I was even summoned, humiliated, chastised like a child for insubordination, noncompliance, and made to feel small. And I paid dearly for it while in office.

My projects.....

THE RESTROOM: Eke Market is a very important market that has served the entire state & other neighboring states and should never ever have been left without a proper restroom. A restroom was of prime importance to my constituents. My people did all they were able to do for decades so government in power could intervene but nothing. I decided that whatever it will take to give my people an ultra modern toilet facility I will do it. I spared nothing to make sure this restroom is the tops, by any standard. I installed a water system first. This restroom has offices, showers in both the male and the female section. There is a gate/security house for 24/7 security. There are workers making sure the place is well maintained, always; hence the offices in both the male and female section. No place was left untied; for easy maintenance/cleaning. Just for an added nganga (opulence), I interlocked the entire compound. Against all odds, I was able to deliver, and on record time the toilet facility which gulped me of millions of naira of my personal funds to the untold joy of my constituents.

Note: These images were taken shortly before the restroom was completed. It is my joy that the money being generated from this restroom is used by heads of the market to service it and pay the workers, some of it is also used to maintain the market.

THE BRIDGE: There was a falling bridge in a road leading to a very popular hospital, Mater hospital Afikpo; it is patronized by people of the state and beyond. It was so bad that people were falling in and motorbikes riders were falling it. It was the 1st project I embarked with my money. This was a matter of life and death. It is also not the kind of construction you do manage manage style, it needs to be properly constructed. But I had no choice but do it just enough to last for a few years due to the cost implications, it still ended up costing me multiple millions of my own money, I gave the contract to a fellow house member from Ikwo, who happens to be an Engineer. This was an alarming need for my people and I was able to fix it. I would have completed one of my own uncompleted structures with the money used in fixing this bridge for my people.

Update There is still work to be done on this road/bridge, it will commence soon.

POLICE: Ehugbo is a very ancient town, almost everything was located in Afikpo at one point. The Police Division and Area Command serves the entire Ebonyi south and beyond. For decades they had no water system. Politicians after politicians have utilized their services for their own selfish reasons for decades, but ignored their most important need. I single-handedly, spend millions of my personal money to give the two units a modern and befitting water system as soon as I was elected. I did this to increase the happiness quotient of police officers serving in my town; that way they will also serve us better.

Actually, my other project was not in my own constituency, it was in a place called Abaomege in my state, reason was that there was a road there leading to my office in Abakaliki (as I was commuting from Ehugbo to my work daily) It was very bad, and impassable, I called an oyibo company in working in my state, they came in and graded it. Aftewards, the people of Abomege did'nt play with me, they loved me ehh, when I am passing by, they would show me so much love. During one of my suspensions, they would regularly stop people from passing the road claiming they are the reason i was suspended haha. Abaomege, I don come for you soon!!!

Yes yes yes, I will do way better than the working Senator, I be mom, and moms always pet better than dads lol

On a serious note: His Distinguished Senator Adeola, you are an inspiration, thank you for taking good care of your district. You are appreciated!

Note: I did get some money for constituency projects, but I never touched them, I handed it over to my manager to handle, hence, I don't include those as my project and never claim I did them. The money provided would not have been enough for anything I wanna embark on, that is why I decided to use my personal funds.

Ebonyi South Senatorial Candidate 2027, PDP.

MARIA UDE NWACHI HAS SWITCHED INTO ACTION: WORKING TOWARDS RESTORING AFIKPO LIGHT ||

Leadership is often measured not by promises made during campaigns, but by the actions taken afterward. Maria Ude Nwachi has demonstrated a commitment to translating her promises into practical steps by working towards the restoration of electricity in Afikpo, a critical need that affects homes, businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and the overall economy of the area.

The restoration of stable power supply is more than an infrastructure project; it is a pathway to economic growth, job creation, improved security, and better living conditions for the people. For many residents and business owners in Afikpo, access to reliable electricity remains essential for productivity, education, and community development.

By taking steps to address the electricity challenge, Maria Ude Nwachi is showing a willingness to engage with issues that directly impact the daily lives of the people. This effort reflects an understanding that sustainable development begins with providing basic amenities that enable communities to thrive.

The move to restore Afikpo light also demonstrates the importance of responsive leadership, leadership that listens to the concerns of the people and seeks practical solutions. It sends a message that development should not remain a campaign slogan but should be evident through visible actions and measurable results.

As these efforts continue, the people of Afikpo and the entire Ebonyi South Senatorial District will be watching with hope and expectation. The successful restoration of electricity would not only improve the quality of life for residents but would also stand as a testament to the power of purposeful leadership and a genuine desire to serve.

"Promises inspire hope, but actions build confidence. The journey toward restoring Afikpo light is a demonstration that true leadership is committed to delivering results that positively impact the lives of the people."

Maria Ude Nwachi : A BEACON OF HOPE FOR EBONYI SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT ||

Leadership is most effective when it is driven by a genuine desire to serve the people. Throughout history, communities have experienced transformation when leaders chose to place the welfare of the people above personal interests. It is for this reason that many believe Hon. Maria Ude Nwachi has the qualities needed to become one of the best things to happen to Ebonyi South Senatorial District.

One of the most admirable qualities associated with Maria Ude Nwachi is her passion for lifting the burdens of her people. Every society faces challenges ranging from unemployment and poverty to inadequate access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. A leader who understands these struggles and is committed to addressing them becomes a source of hope for the people. Maria Ude Nwachi is widely perceived as someone whose desire is not merely to occupy a position of influence but to use such a position as a platform for positive change.

Another reason many hold her in high regard is her commitment to building people. Great leaders understand that true development is not measured only by infrastructure but also by the growth and empowerment of individuals. A leader who invests in people helps to create a future where citizens can thrive independently and contribute meaningfully to society. Through mentorship, empowerment initiatives, educational support, and opportunities for personal growth, Maria Ude Nwachi is seen as a leader who believes in raising others rather than simply ruling over them.

The progress of any senatorial district depends largely on the quality of its human capital. When young people are empowered, women are supported, entrepreneurs are encouraged, and communities are equipped with the tools for success, sustainable development becomes possible. Supporters believe that Maria Ude Nwachi possesses the vision and compassion required to inspire such transformation across Ebonyi South Senatorial District.

Perhaps the most remarkable attribute often associated with her leadership style is the principle of serving herself last. In an era where many people view leadership as an opportunity for personal gain, servant leadership remains one of the most powerful and respected models of governance. Leaders who place the needs of the people before their own interests earn trust, loyalty, and lasting respect. Service-oriented leadership creates a strong bond between leaders and citizens because the people can see that decisions are being made for the collective good rather than individual benefit.

Maria Ude Nwachi's approach to leadership is believed by many to be rooted in compassion, sacrifice, and a deep sense of responsibility toward the people she serves. Such qualities are essential for effective representation because they ensure that the concerns of the people remain at the center of every decision and policy.

Ebonyi South Senatorial District deserves leaders who will listen, understand, and act in the best interest of the people. It deserves leaders who are committed to reducing hardship, creating opportunities, empowering communities, and promoting development across all sectors. Many supporters see Maria Ude Nwachi as a symbol of these aspirations and believe that her leadership would bring renewed hope and progress to the district.

Ultimately, the greatness of a leader is not measured by titles or positions but by the impact they make in the lives of ordinary people. If leadership is truly about lifting burdens, building people, and serving selflessly, then Maria Ude Nwachi embodies the qualities that many believe can help drive Ebonyi South Senatorial District toward a brighter and more prosperous future.

BREAKING: Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been officially announced as the presidential candidate of the Makinde-backed Turaki PDP faction.

Jonathan was, however, absent at the affirmation ceremony and has not publicly declared interest in running for the presidency in 2027.

The certificate of return was, however, given to Fred Agbedi, a sitting member of the House of Representatives from Bayelsa State, to hold in custody, pending Jonathan’s decision on whether to contest the presidency.

PEOPLE OF EBONYI SOUTH, GET READY TO DANCE WITH MARIA ||

I've started saving money to buy a very big footwear... The one the sole is like a 10 storey building!🤣

I don't want to hear stories of my soles chopping off or bending when campaign starts and I will get the opportunity to dance with Maria Ude Nwachi, the PDP Candidate for the 2027 Ebonyi South Senatorial election...

Yes, dancing with Maria Ude Nwachi will be mad fun, so just wait for it! Campaign never start o... ♥️

Indeed, I missed her dancing when she came to Ehugbo to do what she knows how to do best... Having fun with her people, relating with her people after a long time away.

By the way, I read a few comments by people from several parts of Ebonyi South inviting Maria to come and also dance with them in their communities, lol!

This shows the love Ebonyi South people have for the free spirited social media influencer. Yes, what people saw her doing in Ehugbo was just her normal way of/everyday life... Enjoying herself with people.

Maria can be spontaneous, very unpredictable. She can decide midway into whatever she's doing or wherever she's going to stop and be relating with people, even catching her followers off-guard!

So, if you're among those who said she only danced in Ehugbo and needs to visit your community too, rest assured she will replicate her dancing in the rest of Ebonyi South when the time comes.

Trust me, we'll dance in all the communities in Ivo, Ohaozora, Onicha, Edda and Afikpo... So, just get ready to dance with Maria, people of Ebonyi South!

In Ivo, we'll dance in Ishiagu, Akaeze, Ngwogwo, Amagu, Ihenta Ogidi, Obinagu and other communities... So, get ready, my brothers and sisters in Ivo.

In Ohaozara, we'll dance with community people in Okposi, Uburu, Ugwulangwu, among others. They will have a feel of the Maria free spirit... Ighotago?

What about Onicha? People of Onicha-Igboeze, Oshiri, Abaomege, Ukawu, Isu, Isinkwo and others should just warm up, because it will be mad fun with Maria.

Edda people, una know as e de be na! We'll dance with Maria at Etiti Edda, Ebunwana Edda, Ekoli Edda, Owutu Edda, Amangwu Edda, Oso Edda, Amato Edda and other places... Indeed, no dull moment with Maria!

Our own Afikpo communities in Ozizza, Ohaisu, Nkpoghoro, Itim, Unwana, Amasiri, Ibii, Akpoha and other places will feel Maria being around... Nothing de happen!

So, anyone wey feel say he or she sabi dance, what Maria did in Ehugbo is just a tip of the iceberg... You will see real dancing in a few week's time.

The way Maria was welcomed back home in Ehugbo will be small when she gets ready to visit different communities in Ebonyi South, so dust up your shoes.

It's better to dance and have fun than to develop high blood pressure on top Naija wahala in the name of being too serious with life, as it were.

Moreover, as a mother and a woman with a caring heart, it's not in the nature of Maria to arm people with weapons to hàrm others or to be issuing thréats to get what she wants, so what's wrong with her enjoying herself with her people the way she's good at?

Nothing dey this life, so na jejely and nwayoly we suppose to de use follow am... So, let's dance and have fun with Maria, better days ahead!

Moreover, Maria has the reputation of mixing business with pleasure, so her having fun with her people will never affect her lawmaking business when she gets into the Senate in 2027...

Believe, unlike what we're presently experiencing, empowerment, projects, dividends of democracy will reach everywhere in Ebonyi South with Maria in the saddle, so we're in for good times, people of Ebonyi South... Let's support her.

WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED!
